From beginning to end, we had a wonderful vacation. The house was very well equipped. The kitchen had everything we could possibly want. Heather was very quick to reach out before and during our stay to make sure we were happy with everything. We loved the bikes that were provided and enjoyed rides every day. The house had beach chairs, a wagon, towels, cooler, umbrella and beach games. We didn’t have to bring anything but clothes. Highly recommend 😊

The house was very clean and comfortable. Great back porch with comfortable seating. Great location within walking distance of many shops and restaurants. Check in process was very smooth. Would highly recommend. Hope to stay i this house again in the future.

The home was VERY clean, well appointed, very charming Pottery Barn meets the beach inspired. We spent so many hours on the screened porch with an amazing fire table, with separate standing heater for cooler nights. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, with an open floor plan that allowed our family group the right amount of togetherness and privacy. Heather has to be the friendliest and most communicative owner I've ever dealt with, (and I rent a lot of properties)--so helpful & knowledgeable of the area. My hope is to return for a warmer weather vaca soon. If you're looking for a great SSI experience, look no further.

This is someone’s home they are sharing NOT the standard rental. It is well cared for with all the things one May need when on vacation. The type of things I enjoy and notice are nice bedding, comfortable beds, nice thick towels and plenty of them, plenty of storage , the list goes on. Great communication with the owner who truly wants you to enjoy your visit to their home. I highly recommend this home if you are considering visiting St. Simons Island. The location is great, on a quiet street and you can walk to most anything you want to do!

The guest bedrooms don’t have enough floor space for pack and play to be set up.
There is no tub, but walk-in shower worked fine for bathing our 2 & 5 year old.
We liked that the kitchen had everything you could think of and eating on screened in back porch was convenient.
A golf cart is a great asset; renting for the week helped us get to and from beach easily at public beach access. You’ll want a tide table online to follow because public beaches get small at high tide. Mass whale or East beach has beach areas less affected by tide.
We liked that the owner has lots of extras - bikes, large cooler, beach towels, beach chairs and even a picnic basket so less you need to pack.
We found the neighborhood to be great - very quiet, close to tons of parks, restaurants, the pier village, lighthouse. We liked that there was not a pool because our two year old is very much the explorer and this felt like a safe option. Very little stairs (as so many condos have you hauling several flights).
The owner was highly responsive and helpful! We did experience an unexpected problem during our stay but she handled it quickly with a lot of generousity.

Excellent accomodations in very nice neighborhood.
This is an older home but has been tastefully updated to produce an excellent vacation spot. We spent a month and enjoyed our stay very much. The photos do not at all over show the house which is often the case. What you see, is what you get and what you get is excellent. Kitchen is very well equipped, beds are very comfortable, nice showers, great HVAC, great TVs, fireplace, etc etc. We would recommend purchasing water for drinking and coffee. The home is on city water which is heavily chlorinated; nothing the homeowner can control. Restaurants, shops etc are a short walk from the quiet little neighborhood. Plenty of Live Oaks with moss. Owners were very responsive to questions and provided plenty of suggestions for restaurants and activities.

Wonderful house!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 4 day September getaway in this lovely welcoming home. Not only super clean and in excellent condition with all the amenities we could ever need, but it added all those unique touches to make our stay extra special. In a quiet neighborhood with all of those beautiful moss-draped oaks, it's just a short walk to the beach, shops & restaurants of the Village, the famous Pier and Lighthouse. We also took advantage of the bikes provided for riding all over the island along the plentiful bike paths. Our gracious homeowner was very accommodating and most efficient in answering our questions or concerns both before and during our trip. Thank you for your kind hospitality! It couldn't have been more perfect and we look forward to another visit in the future for more sightseeing-we wouldn't think of staying any other place!!

Quaint Stay
My family of 6 enjoyed this home. It is has a large master bedroom and open kitchen/den. The backyard and porch provided a nice extension of the house for our grandson to play. We were able to watch football on the porch tv.
The area is great place to ride bikes and a HUGE plus that 4 bikes were included in the rental. We rented additional bikes from Bike Dude (they were recommended by Heather and their service was spot on).
Most of all, Heather was an exceptional host. She was easily accessible and checked on us numerous times.
We would definitely return to this rental when staying on SSI.

Wonderful Stay
We're just back from our four day vacation. We loved the house and our stay. The location was wonderful and the house was very clean. Outdoor area is beautiful but it was too hot for us to enjoy. Heather has been very helpful from the start till the end. She replied all of our questions right away. SSI is beautiful and very peaceful. I highly recommend this charming cottage.

Home Away from Home
We really enjoyed our stay on SSI. The owner of this property was very helpful and all around a great host. The home was in excellent condition. The sleeping accommodations were great. The house is set up to allow plenty of room to have some space of your own, yet plenty of common space to share family game nights and great meals. The lot is beautifully landscaped with lots of privacy. We were also a short walking distance to the beach and to the heart of town. With the bikes the owner provided, we were able to bike all over the island. Highly recommend this property.

We have a lovely stay! The house is exactly as pictured and worked great for our family. The owner was very responsive and helpful. The house was clean and welcoming. It was nice to relax on the screened in porch at the end of the day. We would definitely come back!
