My personal favorite place in the Bali North. Ambient destination blending with pine forrest, located on steep hill. There is nothing like sitting, hearing no sound and looking in the deep green forrest.
Rooms are spacious and authentic, food in cafe is great. Fire pit option is amazing.

Our room was traditional, attractive and spacious (albeit dark), with wide balconies front and back. There was a small bar with a pretty koi pond and recliners nearby. The main reception building is a dramatic architectural structure with a beautiful carved upper entrance set over multiple levels, nestled in a steep hillside. Staff were friendly and attentive. They brought hot water bottles every evening. My impression was that this was one of the better places to stay in Kintamani. Plenty of peace and quiet; it was like a retreat. It’s a short walk into town. Breakfast was good, dinner was fine. They offer a BBQ package if you wanted to eat outdoors.
Many steps to climb to travel from the entrance to your room. Housekeeping often left our room not properly secured - you could just push and the doors would open. We never felt concerned anything would be stolen but it made us uncomfortable. Pillows were poor quality.
We did not find not much to do on site though we noticed games in the piano bar and there is a (massage) spa that we didn’t try. Unfortunately the Japanese-style pool you could hire by the hour was out of commission during our stay. The bar closed early and was dominated by a large video screen. Last dinner orders at the restaurant were at 8 pm. They do not offer plant based milks for coffee, only cow.
