About this house rental
Situated in Indian River, this charming house for $143 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Completely renovated log cabin located on the beautiful Sturgeon River. Cabin originally built in the 1940's and remodeled in 2021. It has the charm of the old cabin but with updated inside, plumbing, electric, furnishings and amenities. Reed's on the River is located on 350 ft. of the Sturgeon River with 6 other cabins on the property to rent. All cabins have unobstructed views of the river where you can fish or end your tubing/kayaking adventure at your front door. The cozy cabin is a perfect spot to visit May through October as the weather is wonderful. Please note we allow 6 guests, however, the futon is small in the living room. The Sturgeon River is very well known for it's fishing, especially in the Spring and the Fall. It is also the fastest flowing river in the lower peninsula of Michigan making it ideal for tubing and adventurous kayaking. The leaves changing in October is a -must see. We have worked hard to provide comfort, fun, beautiful grounds and service so that you can make life long memories. We will be available for anything you might need. We are very pet friendly but over the years we have been renting, unfortunately, we've had a few misbehaving pets that have resulted in us having to adopt a pet policy and a pet fee. We charge $25/night, per pet, with a maximum fee of $250. Upon booking, please call us and we will send policy form and collect payment.

Highly recommend these cabins. Sweet little spot by a slow meandering stream. Wonderful restaurant up the road; Vivios. Excellent pizza!

Amazing place for family time!
Our family stopped for the night on the way back from Mackinac Island. We were pleasantly surprised by these wonderful cabins. The river setting is a great for dinners by the fire. We are planning a return trip soon!

Our family came up to attend a wedding and this cabin rental more than met our needs. It was very clean and nicely stocked. Decor was cute, too. Very responsive owners and super quick and easy check in. We even got a text the cabin was ready for check in earlier than expected.

We loved our stay here. There was 5 of us that stayed here. The river it literally right out your door. It was very clean. The beds were super comfy. All around a great place to stay. Would definitely come back again.

If you want a rustic , clean, beautiful view, awesome host, then this is the place for you. We stayed during the Mackinaw bike rally, and it was just awesome, the host are very friendly people, and the views and the cabins are just beautiful. we will stay again next year.
