The house is conveniently located for going into Rye plus there’s a good Pub next door serving meals. There was a lovely welcome basket with eggs, bread, jam, cereal, tea, coffee and a bottle of wine. Plus milk and bacon in the fridge. A welcoming touch!Good shower with lots of hot water. Parking right outside on private driveway.
Beds were a bit soft but ok for a few nights. Minor housekeeping things like dust and cobwebs in some areas. The paint needs touching up on kitchen wall. Dining chairs need screws tightened but all of that can be fixed and didn’t interfere with our stay.

We were over the moon with Northbank . Lovely cottage all we needed and lovely gift basket thank you. Lovely pub restaurant next door . And short walk to station and buses . And we loved the crickets round the corner as a lovely pub with happy hour can watch sport . Nice garden and staff and customers are nice .. Rye is beautiful and sure we will visit again . ❤️

Layout of house plus extra downstairs loo was great
The gates wouldn’t shut and that was the reason for boot it as a dog friendly house. Fortunately the gardener came round and managed to get them closed but opening and closing them was very difficult because of them dragging across the gravel.
