The five-acre property boasts both manicured yard space, safe for children to enjoy, as well as plenty of mature hardwoods creating a buffer of privacy from neighboring homes. The house has three levels with a large covered front porch at the main entrance. The main level features a central great room with soaring vaulted ceilings, wood floors, a spectacular river rock wood-burning fireplace, designer furniture, and a large HD Smart TV. A three-story wall of windows and glass doors in the great room allows natural sunlight in, framing the priceless mountain views. The adjacent dining room boasts a one-of-a-kind, custom-crafted, live-edge, banquet-style dining table that comfortably seats up to fourteen (14) guests. The large kitchen features granite countertops, custom cabinetry, and high-end appliances. There are barstool seats at the kitchen bar and window seating for four more at the custom live-edge breakfast table. The laundry room features a washer and dryer and doubles as a mudroom with a separate entrance from the front porch. There is a half bath/powder room on the main level. The impressive master suite on the main floor features a spacious bedroom with a king bed, a gas log fireplace, a comfortable seating area, an HD Smart TV, and glass doors leading to the rear deck and revealing the view. The ensuite bathroom has a vanity with double sinks, a makeup area, a jetted Jacuzzi-style soaking tub with a spa-like tile surround, a custom tile shower, a walk-in closet, and a water closet with a bidet and toilet - a master suite suitable for the most discerning vacationers! The upper floor features a nice loft with a desk and a checkers/chess setup, offering a space to both work and play. A second king bedroom suite has a walk-in closet, HD Smart TV, and a full ensuite bathroom with a tub and shower combo. On either end of the top floor are two more large bedrooms, each of which has a queen bed and an HD Smart TV, and windows with nice views. One of the two also has a full-sized floor mattress for additional sleeping options. There is a full bathroom across from the loft and between the two queen bedrooms. An open balcony looks down into the great room and out to Grandfather Mountain. The lower level begins with a cozy alcove room at the foot of the stairs featuring a custom log bunk bed with two Twin XL beds and open floor space perfect for children to spread out their toys and play. There is another Queen bedroom on the lower level, with an HD Smart TV and glass doors that open onto the lower deck and look out at the mountain views. There is a central bathroom with a tub and shower combo on the lower level. The majority of the lower level encompasses the family room and game room, with an eight-foot slate pool table, dartboard, foosball table, air hockey table, and shuffleboard table. The family room/game room also features a stone fireplace with gas logs, a large HD Smart TV, a comfy sofa, and glass doors opening to the large lower rear deck. The attached two-car garage is accessible from the lower level. Both rear decks stretch the length of the house, are covered with an open-air extension on the main level, and have good views. The main level features a gas grill, an outdoor dining area, a comfortable outdoor sectional sofa, and a coffee table that doubles as a propane gas fire feature. The lower-level rear deck features a cornhole game, more deck furniture, and a hot tub installed in the spring of 2021. This house was a perfect home base for our family of eight while we were in town for my daughter’s wedding at Appalachian View. Close to venue and grocery, and had perfect space inside and outside on the decks to relax. The game room was much enjoyed as well. It exceeded our every expectation, and we hope to come back!!!

We made this location the place to host our weekend marriage retreat with 3 other couples. The location is scenic. There is a lot to do nearby and there is plenty of space for everyone to spread out or congregate around the dining room table and enjoy time together. Overall, we would recommend this to others pursuing similar objectives.

We absolutely LOVED our time at VILLACOSTALOTTA.....it was the perfect house and location for our family trip celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary!! We had 6 adults, 2 children (ages 8 & 10), and 1 puppy with us. The house was exceptional and we made many memories there....we loved the views, game room, corn hole game and having lots of space for everyone! Also, theTynecastle neighborhood was so beautiful and it was easy access to town and the main roads. Any questions or concerns were quickly addressed and answered by the rental agency. Our family all agreed that we would love to stay at Villacostalotta again someday!

We really enjoyed our stay. The kids LOVED the game room, and the house was plenty large enough for our group. The house was a little worn, but very comfortable. I only have a couple of things that could have been better. While it looked like the house had been clean, it seemed that it had not been cleaned very recently. There was a lot of dust on the indoor surfaces, and the porch and outside windows were not very clean. There were no instructions or book in the house for the equipment or what do to when leaving. However, all the light switches were labeled, which was wonderful. Even with these two things, I would highly recommend the house for a family stay.
