Prachtige kamer met een fabuleus uitzicht.

Het ontbijt werd op de kamer geserveerd maar had alles wat we gevraagd hadden. We kregen een hele mooie, propere kamer met een prachtig uitzicht. Niets was te veel. Wij hebben enorm genoten van ons verblijf!

Amazing view

Can be very noisy. You can hear clearly if someone's opening or closing their door. We were near the stairs so we can help people carrying their suitcases up and down. Very hard to sleep if people are doing that during odd hours.

Overall, wonderful experience

We rented the apartment. The outside space was incredible. The views, amazing, privacy good. breakfast was very good, croissants, fresh meats, and cheeses, fresh fruit, espresso. A few items extra for minimal charge. About the inside of apartment- bed comfortable, AC was very cold, furniture rustic and useful.

Property has mid way up, prepare to get in shape, worth it- take the road -apparently theirs a shuttle you can take around town for 2 euros pp-

Staff were friendly, room was clean and spacious.

Walls between rooms were paper thin we could hear everything and everyone at all hours. On our last day after we had been out for a number of hours we came home to our balcony doors open, a large number of flies entered the room. We asked for fly spray or a swatted to eradicate them as there were too many and the receptionist told us to turn off the lights and let them die in 15 minutes. It was a complicated & unhelpful situation, which could have been prevented if the doors had been left closed in cleaning services. As well as providing some help to eradicate them.

This family run hotel is an absolute gem! Fabulous staff, location & rooms. Five stars.

The welcome from Il Gabbiano staff was fantastic. We were shown to our room which had the most amazing view over Positano and the Amalfi coastline towards Praiano. The room & property was spotless with an exceptionally clean bathroom, wardrobe and even balcony. Breakfast served daily on your own private balcony was a treat. One of the reasons we chose this property was ease of 'drive-up' access - no stairs to navigate!

Not much, everything was as described and as Positano is a town of stairs and steep inclines, this property avoided both by offering vehicle access (and parking) to the door.

Beautiful stay in a great location

Beautiful location and very clean rooms. Staff available 24/7 and are very accommodating. Hotel is on the street accessible by car so it was easy to get luggage in and out. Would highly recommend !

Unable to bring a local friend down to the room to see the views and accommodation but they are upfront about this rule.

Fantastic place to stay for our honeymoon

Wonderful room, private tub, large terrace were all amazing for our honeymoon (we had one of the king suites w/ tub). Great staff and always were happy to help with restaurant recommendations, taxis, or whatever we needed. Was nice having breakfast brought to us on the terrace each day. Great view and pretty good location in town.

Nothing really - wish it was a bit cheaper but you get what you pay for.

Avoid the hotel.

The view is incredibly nice and the rooms are new.

The room didn't meet my hygiene expectations and there were several strands of hair in the bed and throughout the room.

Our stay was fantastic, the location, the staff, everything made our 10yr wedding anniversary so special

The rooms were lovely and very clean. The view of the sea and the balcony were exceptional. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful

As with most properties this is high up so lots of steps. However this hotel is on the street so pick up and drop off for anything came right to the front door. There is also a bus stop right across the road. Options for lunch or dinner would have been nice but they have No restaurant.

Overall was such a delightful stay.

It had a beautiful balcony in our room, and the staff were soooo nice! The women in the lobby were super helpful and accommodating, as well as the door man 😊 The beds were comfy, and the robes were soft. My favourite part was the dipping pool on the balcony. 🩵

Nice, not great, but nice.

The staff were wonderful. The rooms were clean and attractively decorated. Breakfast was nice.

The apartment did not have a microwave, nor towels for wiping up. The view and terrace from the apartment was really not as depicted- there was a building blocking most of the view. I would only get a room on the second or third floor.

great place to stay in Positano.

great location with beautiful views. it is relative high on the hill but very close to bus station. you need to hike down to beach via stairs or on the only one way road. Go stairs will be quicker and prettier while the road has more shops but noisy and lot of cars. 5-10 min walk to nearby restaurants since the hotel does not have its own restaurant. if you have limited time in the area, Positano is the best place to be and this property should be on your list
