Just ok will not go back over priced for what it was .

Staff were nice also lovely breakfast

The rooms were tired the first room we stayed looked like a hostel room then the second night the manager moved as to a sea view room which was a bit better . The rooms really need a revamp .

Old building, location, good deal

Suite is in a stuffy attic with no operable windows. Should at least put a fan in. Hot water for jacuzzi tub was wanting.

Good value hotel, in good location

Breakfast was excellent and dinner was good Staff were very helpful and very pleasant Shower was one of the best. Asked for a river view and was given one, view was superb Parking free and easy on roadside

Room was a bit run down and small, required updating Room was small and difficult to move around with 2 suitcases on the floor. Could easily hear other guests at nighttime, with one person snoring all night

nice stay to see family for 2 days

like the hotel and food was good but very strange that the hotel doesn’t do any food in the evening and wasn’t told about this when booking.

i feel taken advantage of. disappointing

i’ve stayed here before. Great location, clean and excellent breakfast.

I stayed here with my son and family and at checkin on Monday, informed them that we may not need Wednesday as we had an early morning flight and maybe couldn’t get there in time. We had not yet paid. She said “no problem, just let me know”. so next day when we found ferry couldn’t grt us there in time, we notified desk that we would have to stay at a hotel at the airport and therefore needed to cancel. i was then informed that there had to be 48 hours notice, and that we booked through booking.com so no refund. Why wasn’t I told that the day before when it was 48 hours. Booking.com makes bookings only. it says in their contract that everything else is at the discretion of the hotel. I have lost £156 but the hotel has lost a customer. i have stayed here before but I won’t again, nor will I recommend to others.

the staff was very friendly. the breakfast was good. the bed was ok.

the room was too small, everything was too old in there and also wasn’t the cleanest room I’ve been.

Friendly and welcoming

Breakfast and dinner was lovely - good choices. Booked two rooms, they were spacious enough and the beds were lovely and comfortable. Staff were absolutely brilliant and couldn't do more. Will definitely be back.

The surcharge soured my stay and I will not be using this hotel again,

Most was OK

I simply hate arriving at a hotel and discovering that there's an unknown surcharge being applied in this case a £15 surcharge for having my dog with me. Having stayed locally the night before with NO surcharges I was VERY disappointed at being charged all this extra increasing the costs of the hotel room considerably. If a hotel describes itself as PET FRIENDLY, it should be, and it certainly should have all its charges UPFRONT.

Great hotel to stay and a great base to see the best parts of the west cost of scotland

This hotel is an excellent hotel to stay in and the view had from our room 15 was good and the breakfast was very good and staff very friendly.

Second time we have stayed here and it just gets better. booked our evening meal in the hotel and were not disappointed the food was excellent. Will be booking again soon.

Noisy but Nice.

Staff were very welcoming and location was ideal for going to the Cowal Highland Gathering and nice view from room. Breakfast was excellent.

Can be quite noisy due to no sound proofing, thin walls and noisy plumbing. Limited street parking.
