All good traditional inn with friendly staff good beer and good breakfast.

Staff were amazing! Super friendly & professional.

Bathroom was a bit tight. Road noise.

The location is absolutely excellent. At the end of the highstreet, walkable to the train station and right by the bus stop. It was easy to reach at all times of day and easy to get to our room. The staff were really friendly and accomidating and the pub was really lovely.

The room was not what was pictured online and was clearly the last to have a renovation. It felt tired and a little unloved with mismatched shabby furniture and a dated look. The AC was also broke during our stay, although we were provided with 2 desk fans, it was almost unbearable.

I knew the room, number 22 was supposed to be small but it was so tiny as to be claustrophobic and it had no external windows. This made it very stuffy for sleeping and on one night of my stay there was what sounded like work being done right through the night. I complained about this but was told it was most likely the night porter doing his various duties. It certainly went on and on and it was noisy making sleep almost impossible. I was told the place was haunted but I don’t mind that. Ghosts are quiet, or so I understand.
