Nice rooms and pool
Shame restaurant closed Monday and Tuesday even in peak season. Outside tables need to be cleaned early for breakfast and water not brushed off onto seats. Rooms do get very hot with only a fan.

Friendly, relaxing! The food was excellent as was the music on our first evening with dinner. Great location and good facilities, hire bikes, pool location

Excellent breakfast. Good position. Pretty dining area and pool. Lovely live music on a Saturday evening in summer. The evening barman was knowledgeable about the wines they stocked.
Mid-August, the rooms were very hot, and there was no air conditioning or even a fan.
My husband fell over and gashed his arm and knee quite badly on an early morning run. He asked the receptionist for a plaster. There was no first aid kit in reception, so she went to look in the kitchen; no first aid kit there, either. Surely this is a legal requirement, we asked. Yes, it is, she agreed. Then she sent us to the supermarket.
A hotel of this standard should have had the necessary kit, or dashed out to buy one in this kind of emergency. Disappointing.
