Die Lage im Ort war ideal, die Zimmer gemütlich und das Essen im Restaurant und auch das Frühstück waren sehr gut.
Bei so hohen Temperaturen wäre ein kleiner Kühlschrank wunderbar. Die Glastüren bei den WC's im Zimmer sind "gewöhnungsbedürftig". Leider waren wir am ersten Abend mit dem Restaurantservice nicht zufrieden: Mahlzeiten und Getränke gingen vergessen bzw. wurden verwechselt und ein paar spitze Bemerkungen der Serviererin und der Bezahlprozess nach dem Essen (zwei Damen unterhielten sich, eine war an der Bar mit ihrem Handy beschäftigt während ich warten musste) waren mühsam bis unangenehm, was den sonst tollen Gesamteindruck trübte.

Rooms very clean and modern. Beds firm but comfortable. Quiet even with windows open. Rooms not air conditioned but the room was not excessively hot and a large floor fan was available
The WiFi worked for my phones. However the WIFI dropped out continuously when trying to use my laptop. This needs improving. The wait for breakfast some mornings was a little long 20+ minutes. Considering the hotel isn't that big and there were few guests present when I was waiting for my food to turn up. It did seem very slow.

Very clean and good food available.
No air con at all. No fridge in the room to keep some water cold and no tea/coffee facilitiesin the room. Staff welcome not particularly friendly.

On our way to Italy from the Netherlands, Hotel Ox proved the perfect one-night stop, close to the A5 in the quiet village of Heitersheim. We found our family room to be spacious, comfortable and clean. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. And the real bonus of Hotel Ox is the delicious breakfast, served a la carte rather than in buffet style.
