The location of the hotel is ideal, walking distance to the centre and easily accessible by public transport. The staff are kind and helpful and the breakfast is outstanding.

The building is itself an impressive and historic structure.
The room was sparse and despite being a recently refurbished suite it was missing furniture and basic amenities. The bedding was synthetic and not pleasant.
Breakfast was a selection of cheap cakes and yoghurt with muesli. There was some cooked scrambled eggs left in a self serve bowl but they were old and dry. Coffee was terrible.
Staff and service in general was poor. I asked for a couple of wine glasses to be sent to the room and was told to fetch them myself from the restaurant. The bar was not staffed, after waiting for 10 mins I had to go and get someone. Service wasn’t great at all.
