We have enjoyed a wonderful three days in the city of Burgos - made even more special by our host Inma. Inma contacted us prior to our trip with all the details we needed for accessing the apartment and she also provided extensive information about Burgos. On our arrival Inma was there to personally welcome us and explain everything. The apartment itself is spotlessly clean and very comfortable with an amazing view of the cathedral from the little balcony - a magical sight at night. Everything you need was there including teas, coffee, hot chocolate, bottled water and little sweet treats thoughtfully provided. The old beams and individual decor give atmosphere. The position is great - so central to everything in this great city - a word of caution though - the apartment is in an elevated position behind the cathedral with many steps but can be accessed from a gentle slope if you follow the street along from the lower end. However, inside the apartment building there is a lift - which is unusual in an historic building. Everything was lovely and Inma is the perfect host and readily available to offer advice and help. Thank you Inma - we highly recommend your apartment. In Burgos we loved the cathedral, the rescued church altar pieces in San Esteban, the Museum of Human Evolution, walking the park by the river, Arco Santa Maria and the amazing tapas in the bars. We flew from Manchester to Madrid and took the ALSA coach to Burgos (luxury coach, leather seats, film channels) and the bus station is conveniently only a short distance from the main entrance to the historic centre.
