About this house rental
Nestled in Hermann, this charming house for $99 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Although located on the same level as the other rooms in Himmel Haus B&B, the Gipfel Suite is a bit more secluded due to the separate, private entrance. This suite is tastefully decorated with soothing colors and provides a queen-sized bed with memory-foam mattress which is luxuriously appointed with a down-alternative mattress topper as well as comforter. A lovely bistro-style seating area in the room is available to enjoy your complimentary, in-room continental breakfast. The newly-renovated bathroom features a pedestal sink, and stunning walk-in shower with white floor-to-ceiling subway tile (shampoo, body wash, and hairdryer provided). In addition, the Gipfel Suite also contains two bedside tables with reading lamps, a closet to hang your clothing, a 39″ HD LED TV with basic cable, complimentary Wi-Fi, and plenty of convenient electrical outlets for your personal electronics. A local woodworker created the custom cabinet in the Gipfel Suite, which houses the mini-fridge, coffee maker/coffee, a small microwave, toaster, dishes, and basic silverware. This is also where the continental breakfast items will be available in your room upon arrival. This will include such items as pastries, greek yogurt, cereal, milk, fruit, and juice. If there are other items you require, you are welcome to use the kitchenette in the common area of the B&B. In addition to the kitchenette, all guests have access to and use of the other amenities available in the common area: the laundry room, main living area of the B&B, the large porch with multiple seating areas, bicycle storage and cleaning station, as well as convenient, off-street vehicle parking. This room offers a self-check-in process via a combination keypad lock, which provides convenient access for you to your room at any time without the hassle of keeping track of a room key. Your access code will be emailed to you a few days before your arrival.

Beautiful view overlooking Hermann and hills. Breakfast was fabulous and varied each day. Well lit sidewalks when returning after dark. Many enjoyable conversations with the local folks. Conveniently located near wineries, restaurants, and downtown. Would stay there again.

Everything was perfect for our needs. Renee had the room ready earlier than expected which is get to the wedding we attended. Room was very clean with updated bathroom. Communication was easy and prompt with the owner. Would recommend to anyone going to Hermann

This property is located close to downtown but far enough away to feel like you were in the country. The room and bathroom was very clean and appeared to be newly redone.
I do wish I could have had control of the thermostat as I got pretty warm. There was a ceiling fan and a standing fan which helped.

My husband and I brought our bikes to ride on the Katy Trail. The Himmel House was a great place to stay to enjoy the trail and the charming town of Hermann.
The Gipfel suite was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The patio had a beautiful view of the town below.
Renee was a great, responsive host, and her breakfasts were delicious.
We would stay here again if we’re ever in the area in the future. Maybe we’ll come back for their Oktoberfest.

My husband and I took the train in from St. Louis. We didn’t appreciate that this house is at the top of a hill. We really enjoyed the peaceful patio and the view, but it was a hike up. It was very clean, had all the amenities you could want (outlets and USB ports on each side of bed, snacks and water bottles in the room, Keurig coffee maker with sweetness and half &half). lThe breakfasts were delicious and communication with the host was easy and non-intrusive. Overall I highly recommend it!

This was a perfect place for us! Being on the edge of town, it was nice and quiet without being far from the things we wanted to do. The room was super clean and comfortable, and we appreciated the snacks and waters waiting for us. Breakfast was delicious. Renee and Gretchen were great communicators, allowing us to stash our bikes inside their private gate, and suggesting a fun stop for us on our way home.
The only caveat, which has nothing to do with our hosts, is that we would not have been able to ride our bikes directly to the property due to the hilliness of Hermann. Maybe you would be able to, if you are younger and in better shape than my husband and me... We were simply not prepared for how hilly the town is.
Over all, though, we would highly recommend Himmel House!

I was in town alone for the week on business. My room was the perfect size for me and was clean and cozy. The spacious shower and bathroom area was a huge plus. And, the snacks and waters left for me were a sweet touch. The hosts are great communicators, ensuring my needs were being met via various text inquiries. Although the communications were not bothersome nor too often. I will definitely rent here again.

We had a nice stay. The owner allowed us to check in early, which was Great! Breakfast was fresh and tasteful. The room was very clean and accommodating.. The only complaint was the loudness above our room throughout the night. Alot of loud footsteps and ALOT of commotion. At one point there was a very LOUD boom (like a heavy ball was dropped).

We were the only couple staying at the property so it was very quiet. We had a great time. The only downside was the shower in the bathroom was the open type... water was all over the floor afyer showering, making it really slippery. Otherwise highly recommended

My wife and I came here for a weekend getaway. This was our first time staying in a house in Hermann. All I can say is I was blown away. The location of Hummel Haus is great. Far enough away to be quiet but close enough to walk to activity if you want to. The transportation services also have no problem picking you up there.
We had the more private room of the three The room was very clean and easily accessible.
The common area had everything you may need to include a refrigerator, sink, and dining area.
The host contacted us and responded to us without delay. They provided us a delicious breakfast each morning. Far more than some continental breakfast.
Overall we were very satisfied and are already planning on returning. Thank you for a great weekend!
