Die Anlage ist sehr schön und die Lage ist auch gut.
Wir hatten ein Lower Ground Apartment gebucht, aber uns war nicht klar, dass es sich um einen Keller handelt. Wir konnten die Buchung rückgängig machen und mussten nur einen kleinen Teil bezahlen.

Such a unique building, comfortable rooms and had the pool to ourselves. It’s a great location so we were able to walk to town. We also were able to book for just one night which I think is not always available.
Charles was very welcoming and knowledgeable on the building history and helped make our stay comfortable, offering a range of parking.

The location of the abbey is hard to beat. For anyone who likes Loch Ness and also likes the history, the abbey is an excellent choice.
The only thing I truly didn't like, and the reason for me not giving a much higher score, is the fact that this is a basement apartment with tiny ground-level windows and therefore very little natural light. I should have read the description more closely as it does say 'lower ground floor', so in fairness, I have to acknowledge that it was my bad here, but I honestly hadn't expected to find myself quite so far below the natural light level- the result was that I had to have the apartment lights on all the time basically, as it was very hard to see anything otherwise. This did start to grate on me a bit after a few days, and I certainly wouldn't want to have a long-term stay in that particular apartment. I'd be delighted to return to the Abbey in general, as the facilities overall get 10/10, but I certainly wouldn't book that particular apartment again. The interior decor is lovely with nice sofas and easy chairs, a good shower and a well-equipped kitchen, but the lack of sunlight/natural light in general is definitely a major dealbreaker. I guess other travelers may not mind this dimension, especially if they don't actually spend much time in the flat itself. Unfortunately, I had lots of work to do during my stay, so I had to spend a lot of my time indoors looking at a laptop. After 5 days of this, I was delighted just to see natural light again.
