Charming

Super cute, and the owner was so sweet, we had a lovely conversation in the morning before I departed.

Not much the ax can be load but old buildings are like that, comes with the cozy.

A nice and cheap possibility to stay in Richmond at a good location.

A really fair price for a super location. Woth a very friendly host.

Unfortunately, on the other side of the street a building has a broken AC which is super loud and can be heard all night even with all windows closed. Surely this isn’t the fault of the host but it is disturbing.

Orange Wildflowers...You Can't Go Wrong!

Great location, clean, comfortable and easy to find. The manager, Chris, was really friendly and helpful...really nice guy. I would definitely book this room again. Very positive travel experience! Thanks again to Chris!

COMFORTABLE PLACE AROUND RICHMOND

The availability of the host when we needed, the availability of the useful main object given and our room divided by a door that we can lock and unlock connected with the share kitchen.

I would not consider staying here again.

Street parking available. Historic house. Air conditioning. Pleasant owner.

Cheap furnishings. Outlet at bed unavailable. Nothing matched, but not in a cute, quirky way. No Wi-Fi. Although clean, everything seemed shoddy (cleaning supplies out, broken linoleum, drywall tape visible, bed uncomfortable with squeaky springs). Lights very dim, except for one super bright lamp that still had plastic around its stem. Doors did not feel secure.

This was a good, clean room, and affordable place for my one night stay.

Convenient location, calm atmosphere and environment. More especially, the owner was very welcoming and easy-going.

A great stay/value in a historic building!

Great rate, location, service: perfect for attending VCU graduation, and a super cool historic building. I would definitely book again if visiting Richmond for any other reason.

I don't want to be too negative, as I slept very soundly and comfortably, but more hotel style bedding/tiny soaps would take this to the next level for sure!!

Inexpensive way to stay downtown so you can tour Richmond on foot.

The location exceeds the price point - comfy brewery a block away. Edge of the very interesting arts district. Reasonable downhill walk to the canal and river district. More than your money`s worth in this aspect.

The box spring was broken and thus the bed sagged in the center. This is a rehabbed old row house with a shared bath and kitchen and all was clean and functional save this one issue.

Charming, well located home in Richmond

The location seems very central. It was easy for me to walk to the convention center and the area felt safe to walk around during the day as well as late in the evening. Charming little home with multiple rooms and a shared bathroom. The room was very comfortable and it met all my needs as a solo traveler. One more thing that I liked was the check-in and checkout process. The instructions didn't seem clear at first, but the owner was on the premises to allow me access and they were very quick to respond whenever I messaged them. I would not mind staying there again if I ever visit Richmond again.

There were others occupating some of the rooms and the building is not the most soundproof. It did not bother me much, but you can clearly hear others speak on the phone or watching tv from their room.

Quiet and convenient. Missing the amenities of some conventional hotels, but perfect for solo travelers on business. The owner is friendly and check-in/ check-out was convenient. Had a great time!

I came into town for GalaxyCon and booked only 2 weeks out, this place is so cheap and economical but also just comforta

So very comfortable and homey, so nice to be able to use the fridge and kitchen and just come back from my day and truly feel like I’m relaxing at home!

In a perfect world I would love to have my own private bathroom instead of a shared one but even though it’s full up here this weekend it’s only like 4 rooms so it hasn’t been an issue at all

The location was excellent. Easy walk to restaurants and attractions. Good room for a solo traveler if you really only need a place to sleep and plan to be out and about. Can't beat the price for the location.

Location is excellent. You can walk to a lot of places of interest in 10 minutes or less.

Too noisy at night since the street is busy but that's a compromise I was willing to make because of the location.

What’s there not to like about this property? AMAZING hosting along with everything you’ll need in the house. Very friendly and accommodating. within a short walk or cheap ride around all of the cities attractions. far better off than paying for a hotel. many amenities throughout the house and neighborhood as well.

Good value for down town Richmond. Helpful owner was easy to meet up with. Very pleasant stay.

Easy walk to free city buses. Short ride to train/bus station. Close to restaurants and quaint part of town. Use of kitchen for making coffee (well stocked).

The location of the bed under a mantle made it impossible to sit up in bed. There was an easy chair for one person.

Scary for any woman, uncomfortable,...it should not be offered as a place to stay in Richmond.

nothing at all it was a very creepy run down place that has good reviews...which I can figure out...should NOT be on the Booking site which we have relied on in the past and has excellent sites in the US and Europe

The room felt very used and cluttered...like it was stuff in a resale store rugs seemed unclean and over used mirrors just sat on the floor, the closet was open ( no door)with an old chair, the sitting chair was upholstered and dirty the curtains were but hung material the lock on the front door and bedroom itself did not seem secure( I was scared for the night and left as early as it got light) the place needs a lot of work, otherwise it should not be on Booking listings

We booked this stay extremely last minute and the host was beyond accommodating. Our stay was wonderful and we throughly enjoyed every minute of our time here. The room was spacious and comfy and the house had everything we needed and more. Will definitely be staying here again!
