We really enjoyed our stay at the Bungalow! It was perfect for our Acadia getaway. An easy 20 minute drive to Bar Harbor and even a few cute coffee shops right down the street from the property. Ingrid was also very responsive and easy to contact with questions!

The Bungalow was great! Only issue was with the TV ( operator error) Ingrid took care of it while we were exploring Acadia the next day. We enjoyed seeing the deer outside the door one morning.

This was a great location for a base as we explored the area. Clean and no issues at all. The only possible improvement would be an air conditioner in the bed room for the warm days.

Great spot on the quiet side of Acadia. It was close to the park and far enough from the crowds of Bar Harbor. Convenient location and clean bungalow. Would love to return!

My husband and I had been wanting to explore Maine and Acadia for years and finally bit the bullet. The accommodations at The Bungalow were perfect for our needs. The area has the nickname "the quiet side of the island," which we really appreciated as well (Bar Harbor was crazy!). We basically just slept and showered at The Bungalow, but we did take advantage of being able to do a load of laundry and have a frozen pizza for dinner one night. My husband and I both slept liem rocks! The bed and bedding were both very comfortable, and the bedroom was wonderfully dark. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at The Bungalow again and would definitely recommend.

Location was perfect for access to Acadia National Park. Super quiet in Southwest Harbor. Would love to stay there again. Great restaurants and bars nearby. Highly recommend!

The Bungalow was perfect for the two of us. We appreciated staying on "the quiet side" of the island. It wasn't difficult to get to Bar Harbor, but we enjoyed visiting the Southwest Harbor shops and restaurants, too. We had breakfast at the Clark Point Cafe, which had only recently opened, and it was terrific! It was so nice to have a full kitchen and a washer and dryer. We would definitely stay there again!

My husband and I recently stayed here. It was perfect. We were very close to a few different parts of Acadia and 20 min out of Bar Harbor. It was nice and quiet at night but near everything we wanted to do during the day. The space was clean and pleasant. Having the option to do laundry after hiking a few days was a bonus. We would stay here again.

We regret that we didn't look at the bedroom arrangement more closely. One side of the bed is up against the wall, the other side is no more than a foot from the wall. When moving bed to make it, lots of dust on floor under window. Shower needs regrouting. Instructions for using TV and heater would have been helpful. Only 1 steak knife--2 would be better. Owner was quick to respond to our questions about heater and TV.

Cute bungalow, kitchen fully stocked with electric stove, full size fridge, coffee maker, toaster and nice size sink for dish washing. Washer and dryer was a nice bonus. Bathroom small and shower needed to be recaulked as was black with mold. Rugs also need to be steam cleaned, otherwise it was a cute place! Including laundry detergent was a nice amenity. WI-FI worked well. 15 minute drive to carriage roads and another 10 minutes to Bar Harbor. Would definitely stay again. Would be nice if they added an electric fireplace for a bit more ambiance. Enjoyed our stay, also nice that grocery store was a stones throw away!

We loved our stay at the Bungalow! It was a great location in SW Harbor (right next door to kayak rentals and down the street from bike rentals). Check and check out was a breeze. If you are going into Acadia, this is a great spot. The bungalow is well appointed with everything you need. The only thing to be aware of is we found the wi-fi to be pretty slow, but it likely will not be an issue for most visitors.

We liked being away from the hustle of Bar Harbor, but harder to find restaurants open late at night when we returned from long hikes. Great hiking nearby and not far to the other side of MDI. I would definitely stay here again.

This property is perfectly located on the Soutwest side which is much less crowded and conveniently located. It was spotlessly clean and just as pictured. Archie's, one of Ingrid's recommendations, isjust down the road and has the most amazing lobster dinner at a great price, right on the water. I would highly recommend!

We enjoyed a very peaceful stay at The Bungalow. It was the perfect spot to wind down after long days exploring Acadia and Mount Desert Island. The space is cozy and the apartment is within walking distance to shops and food in the Southwest Harbor area. There's nothing more I could add that other reviewers haven't already said, and we're super happy with our experience. Would book again!

The Bungalow is an idyllic little cabin for a Maine vacation. It's private, clean, cute, and a perfect home-base. It's centrally located- easy access to Acadia, Bar Harbor, and other fun areas. Ingrid was very helpful and responsive. We arrived early during a Nor'easter and didn't have anywhere to go, so she allowed us to check in early, which gave us a cozy space to wait out the storm. There were several games and other entertainment in the cottage to keep us occupied. In fact, our day hunkering down in the cottage became our favorite day of the trip. She had the driveway plowed several times while we were there, and walkways were promptly shoveled. We will absolutely stay here again when we come back to Maine.

The Bungalow has a cozy cabin feel with modern amenities. It is perfect for one person or two people who share a bed very well. Great home base for exploring Acadia NP and other locations along the coast (we had a vehicle) if you are looking to stay in a quiet small town setting…which is exactly what we wanted. Southwest Harbor is small and lovely and has some nice places to eat and get food to go for your day. Never met Ingrid, but she communicated everything with us very well and we never felt we couldn’t get in contact with her if needed. Did meet the caretakers, Barry and Pat, who were great folks to chat with. There are also three or four other larger units on the property. We plan to return here if possible for future visits to the area.

My boyfriend and I were first timers to Acadia National Park and the Bungalow was the perfect spot to stay for the week! Not only was it cute but it was very clean and more than enough room for the two of us. The location was amazing, not far from local shops and restaurants and only 10 minutes to some of the beautiful trails the park has to offer. It is only 25 minutes from Bar Harbor, Cadillac Mountain and Jordan Pond. Ingrid was great! She left detailed notes and directions on how to get to and about the property. We would definitely stay here again!
