I found the place based on the map provided on Stayz, the owner never gave the address so it was a little hard to find. The queen bed in the second bedroom is broken and unsafe to sleep on so we had to sleep on the mattress on the floor. No dishwashing soap provided at all yet check out instructions requested for all dishes to be washed. The location to mountain entrance is excellent and it was nice to see the kangaroos in the morning.

Very good location close tot he mountain. House is old but everything worked and everything we needed was there. Heater and fireplace worked well and plenty of heaters for the bedrooms. Owner was great had to call him for local advice and he was friendly and helpful. Great deck/veranda with tables and couches a very nice spot to sit and drink wine.

For over four hundred dollars a night we expected that this accommodation would tick all the boxes. Unfortunately it just didn't, a few things were a let down. Bedding doesn't fit beds- weird. This can be fixed for less than $40 at an op shop. Electric blankets don't work in the second double bed room. Heater in bunk room doesn't work. Not sufficient cookware for amount of guests, we were only 4 people. This could also be upgraded with $20 at an opp shop. Most everyday items were either empty or not there- no hand soap, almost no dish liquid, no salt, no coffee. And no sponge, all the while leaving guest note stating we will be charged for not clean up the kitchen. All small things but with minimal local shops it was not something we thought we would have to buy. A DVD player provided, with no DVDs. Odd. No axe to chop kindling. And fireplace flute desperately need oiling. Both rubbish and recycling bins out front were overflowing upon arrival. Wall unit heater work well though. And the cleaning ladies were really nice letting us in 25 minutes early. Would not recommend anyone book this for this price.

I wouldn’t even give this place 1 star rating if it wasn’t purely for the location, apart from that, nothing else was good about it. Upon arrival, none of the beds were made and the bathroom had a leak which made a loud noise all night long. We wanted to ask a question about the fireplace and emailed the owner with no response what so ever! Tap in the shower ended up not working and pouring continuously so we had to turn off water from the mains, as a result we had no water to use for the rest of the night and the next morning. Owner couldn’t care less, did not even offer an apology!!! Lastly, we accidentally left the keys at the property and asked the owner to check the cabin for us as we’re from Melbourne and the drive would have an extra 8 hour trip for us to retrieve it. Owner did not response and didn’t even bother reply back to us. He didn’t even try going to the cabin and have another look for us because he couldn’t be bothered. If you’re planning to stay here don’t expect much for the owner. Absolutely no courtesy whatsoever ever. As long as the money is in his pocket, that’s all that matters to these people. We travelled regularly and I must say this place is by far the worse place we’ve stayed at. Absolutely the worse of the worse with the communication, never have i experienced another host like this one!!
