Won’t be going back.

We stayed in York during one of the heat waves this year, and the apartment was unbearably hot. We emailed requests begging for a fan, just so we could sleep at night, but we didn’t hear back from the hosts, ever.

Fire hazard, great location

The location

The front door was extremely difficult to open and close. My mother has only use of one hand and I have just had a pacemaker fitted and we both had to use our entire body weight to open the door and had to let the door slam shut to close it which was not considerate to the neighbours as it was extremely loud. One of the windows was stuck shut, the doors to the bedroom and living room didn’t actually close properly either and the shower was very slippery. The front door issue made the room unsafe as it was a fire hazard waiting to happen. I sent a video to the owner and he offered a full refund to rebook that night but that was not helpful as the prices for same day accommodation was triple what it normally would be so it felt like a nothing suggestion. I did not want to leave York with a shoulder injury from a door but here we are

Spacious accommodation, short walk from the city center located opposite the train station.

No coffee machine just a kettle, the living room is at street level so you feel a little on display. No air conditioning- unfortunately we were in York during unseasonably hot weather.
