Beautifully furnished and filled with clean grey and white touches, this modern getaway will have everyone feeling right at home. Step into the spacious kitchen and you will find modern appliances and stunning countertops to prepare tasty meals with ease after a day on the sand. Before heading out each day, enjoy a cup of coffee or quick breakfast on the balcony as you watch the sunrise over the horizon. Any downtime spent inside will be filled with entertainment as well with a large flatscreen TV in the living room and mounted flatscreen TVs in each bedroom. This home is divided into three floors, so spreading out will be no problem when it is time to hit the hay. The lower floor is home to the first bedroom offering a queen bed and an ensuite bathroom. The second floor will be the main hub for entertaining, yet the living room has a queen sleeper sofa to accommodate larger groups. The third floor features three more bedrooms, one boasting a king bed and attached bath, one featuring a queen bed, and the last offering a twin-over-double bunk bed! These two bedrooms have easy access to the full bathroom in the hallway. What's nearby: Sitting mere steps from the endless sugar-white sand of Whitecap Beach, the sunbathers and surfers of the group will be in paradise. When you want to head out for a bite to eat or to grab a few groceries to stock up, the main drag of the island is less than two miles from home base. Plus, a change of scenery can be found six-and-a-half miles north at Mustang Island State Park where you can spend all day hiking along coastal trails in the sunshine. Things to know: High-speed WiFi Beach access Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. Don’t get me wrong! We loved the location of this property. We are long time visitors to the island and watched this property be built. We finally got the opportunity to stay here with our family for the Thanksgiving holiday. The home served all our needs well and had great amenities and was even decorated with a small Christmas tree for the season. We all loved the decor and general layout of the property for privacy and functionality for sleeping 6 adults and 6 children.
Where the home fell short for us was in the cleanliness. We all agreed the bedding and blankets were clean but felt the home had an odor when we first walked in. Just a musty smell and we chalked it up to being so close to the ocean. After initial walkthrough, we found toilets were not clean especially under the rim and floors had not been swept. Our children’s socks were pretty filthy after just a short while of walking around.
There was quite a bit of dust bunny build up around air returns on the kitchen ceiling, found mold in upstairs bedroom closet ceiling. But we felt the most mislead by this not being a pet free property. We have family members with pet allergies and we suspect there have been pets in this home.
We cleaned what we felt needed cleaned for our stay and made the best of it but wished a deeper cleaning had been done.

Our family travelled to Corpus Christi to attend a winging ceremony at the Naval Base.
The property looked like the pictures and was decorated well with comfortable beds and a big table for gathering and a big couch in the living room. We enjoyed this location because it was close to the base and close to the beach. I would recommend staying here and stay here again. (If anyone is handicap with walking this location would be a challenge because there are 3 flights of stairs.)

Aside from the showers not being clean and there were no remotes for the bottom bedroom and master bedroom all else was ok.Would recommend having a broom for light cleaning in kitchen.The bedroom with the bunk beds left a lot to be desired.No one wanted to sleep on the top bunk because it was very unstable.Good thing there was a sofa bed.Overall a nice place and well stocked kitchen.Loved the half bathroom downstairs.No hose for our place which would have been perfect.The master bedroom was the hottest room in the house.Thank you

The house was nice and very clean. The only thing that was wrong was the second floor back door would not latch and very hard to lock. Rented for six nights and the second night the living room breaker tripped the breaker box was in the garage so we had no access to it called property management a couple of times they never showed up or gave a call back so we went four days with no TVs or Internet. The property management are very unprofessional when you call

We loved the room to stretch out with 6 adults.
Nothing to really complain about or be over joyed by. Everything was fairly clean other than a bit of sand on the floors and some bags of trash on the back patio from the guests previous. Other than the main door, all the other exterior doors do not close well or lock because of the corrosion , and with swelling from the humidity. If I had been worried about safety this would have been an issue.
Over all everyone was happy.

The location was situated with an easy walk to the beach. Parking wasn't an issue. The shared pool is a nice added bonus. The house itself is nice, with suitable, charming furniture. However, the housekeeping needs improvement. Basic supplies, like paper towels, hand soap, and kitchen trash bags were missing. Some bath towels were dirty and hanging irregularly in the hall bath, as if overlooked. The master shower had used soap and clumps of hair from the previous tenant.

The house was very pretty. The AC worked great. It was clean when we arrived. But the refrigerator was not working when we arrived. Everything got bad and we had to throw it all away. We had food in there for 8 adults. They had a tiny beverage fridge we had to try and stuff what we could in there to salvage what we could. I called Vacasa support but no one came to fix or check the fridge. They obviously knew something is wrong with it because there was that little fridge in the dinning room. But that is definitely not sufficient for 8 to 12 adults. Also the 2 doors on the main floor do not lock at all. Plus the towel rack and toilet paper holder were bought at a dollar store and was under the sink when we arrived. Also the left sink in the king master bath leaked under it. I notified Vacasa and they said they would send someone to fix the issues but I only got a 1 text and they never showed up. When I tried communicating with them they never responded. I called Vacasa again and they said they would contact management and have them call me but they never contacted me at all. So we waisted a lot of money on food for 8 adults but the management obviously did not care about any of the issues. It was clean and pretty but it was not the best experience for us and we would never recommend that place to anyone because of no response from management to correct any of the issues plus feeling like anyone could just walk into the house since the doors would not lock at all. If they fixed those issues then I would definitely consider going again only because it was so close to the beach and it was clean and pretty inside.

Looking at the property itself and location was great.It was not until we started using the fridge that we noticed it was not cooling properly and we had an issue with the towel rack in one of the bathrooms and the 2 doors did not lock at all. So that was a safety issue for us.And lets not forget the fire alarms in all 4 bedrooms kept going off constantly.And in all fairness when I called management they did come out replaced all batteries for the alarms, brought in a fan, and reset the A/C since it had been set for fan instead of A/C once that was corrected the place was comfortable.And as for the fridge it was replaced with an apartment size one which was fine.So thank you very much Lisa for taking care of all our issues in a timely manner.We have traveled quite a bit and have never had our issues taken care of so fast.And the beach was so close.Awesome stay.Now just waiting for the price adjustment as promised!

My family LOVED the location, literally can walk with toddlers and my elderly grandparents to the beach. Walking distance to the beach was a few hundred feet so we were hoping to have made this a regular rental for us. However, the floors were disgusting on all three floors of the rental. Dirty floors and sand on the floors, and our feet were black within minutes of being in the rental. We noticed chips and other bits of food on the floor, and my 70 year old father slipped and fell on the rug in the living because the rental didn’t have the non-slip rug beneath it. We rolled up the rugs and moved them outside, and when we did, we found a ton of sand that we had to sweep up. Really disappointing and what made it worse was that the rental is run by Vacasa, a large company and so we never received a single response from them when we tried contacting them. We had to deal with the state of the cleanliness as-is and fortunately, it wasn’t any worse or else we would have been completely SOL.

2 minutes walking distance from the beach. That part of the beach is closed to traffic so it's safer, cleaner and more private. The house is beautifully decorated. However on this one the furniture is a bit nicer than in other properties. Beds are nice in every room. The only down side (minor) is that you don’t get access to the garage in this house. A garage on the island is quite a plus, but not required. It is in fact very uncommon. In this house they apparently use it to store owner’s stuff which means that they also use the house (ie. It is not just a rental property). Perhaps because they also use it they have an interest in keeping it in excellent condition. We appreciate the privilege of staying in this beautiful house and look forward to future vacations here.

We underestimated the amount of stairs and had to block them off for our toddler and baby, and there was an incident with the smoke alarm the first night, but management dealt with it quickly. We would definitely stay here again.
