This place is a little gem. It's not that easy to reach but then you have the sense of real privacy and seclusion. The cottage is in a group with some others, but it faces away from them and the property is designed so that you have privacy on the front terrace and a secluded rear terrace that is more sheltered. It's a small traditional house, beautifully designed and decorated with a real sense of style. One thing we loved the most was that there are 2 sofas, meaning that me and my husband could have one at the same time. The view from the terrace is lovely, and although a new construction further down the valley blocks the best part of the ocean views, there are still nice views of the surrounding hills, which look spectacular in the late afternoon light, and there are glimpses of the ocean and beautiful Tholaria up on the hillside. One of the best aspects of the cottage would have to be Marco, who was incredibly friendly, always available whenever we needed anything, and who gave us great recommendations for places to eat and visit. And he helped us carry our luggage back up to the car (it's a 300m walk uphill). Lagada is very small but there are a few places to eat, although we tended to drive down to the harbour where there is a lovely cafe by the water for breakfast and also a great pizza restaurant, also by the water. We would definitely return.
The bed is very small, which meant my husband (who is 180cm/6ft) had to sleep diagonally in order to fit on the bed. It wasn't so much of a problem for us though as the 2 sofas in the living room are single bed size and I just slept on one of those at night. Marco brought us an extra set of bed linen. The kitchen had what we needed, except a proper bread knife would have been good.
