My stay at Hampton Inn was very comfortable and convenient.

Breakfast was delicious!!!!

Need to stock herbal teas for guest that don’t consume caffeine.

I wouldn’t stay here again due to the lack of staff for regular cleaning and unfortunately the unkind attitude of the br

Most of the staff were excellent and tried their best to help out but it was obvious they were understaffed. If you need a one night stay then you won’t experience or notice what I have after staying for 5 days with two small kids. If you don’t get Karen on breakfast duty then you will have the door slid closed in your face while you’re trying to feed your kids. Yes 5 mins left until 10am, however the breakfast lady on the weekend has zero compassion for you arriving with two under 3. Thank you to Karen who went above and beyond and who also offer to pack us up a snack bag of fruit for the travel/day. Thank you also to the night front desk staff and the front desk staff in general who seemingly tried to help us out with our requests.

Feedback For Ypsilanti hotel: Hello, Although we had an excellent stay at your hotel in Ypsilanti and many of the staff went above and beyond to help us out. Karen and the team at the front desk were extremely helpful. I would like to point out for improvement, the following: It seems like your cleaning staff is understaffed and most of the hotel seems like it is understaffed. I stayed for 5 days and my room was cleaned once. I was told it would be cleaned every other day. Upon special mention and persistence from Myself, I was able to get the room cleaned. The cleaning staff was very helpful and kind and obviously very busy and this is why I mentioned the under staffing issues. We were given a play pen for children but it was very dirty and obviously not wiped down. These type of details made it difficult for me travelling on my own with two small kids. The shower only in the room is not a great feature for kids/parents. I had to buy a container from the dollar store to bath my 1yr old to keep her safe in the bathroom. The barn door not being functional to close the bathroom area was not convenient. There was zero cutlery in the room which is advertised as a kitchen- when asked the front desk i got a real knife from the kitchen. The breakfast lady (not Karen) on the weekend was very grumpy and not helpful. She even closed the door on us to hide the kitchen and i was unable to get forks to eat our breakfast. The sofa couch was listed as a bed in our room but I had to make it myself. The play pen - i called a day ahead for this to be in our room but had to ask for it to be delivered to our room and then ask for bedsheets for it, no blankets provided. These items need smaller sheets and blankets for children. No help with luggage upon arrival. I had to call and ask for luggage cart when leaving, i was brought a luggage cart/rack and zero offer to load my bags on the cart by the front desk person. Again, seems like a total lack of employees.

Nice and clean hotel near to DTW

The gentleman who checked us in was very professional and friendly. There was hot coffee and tea available in the lobby at all times. The room and bathroom was clean and nice. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Good location to fly out of DTW without being right at the airport.

We had a morning flight out of DFW and unfortunately breakfast was not available early enough for us. We had to ask for extra towels, the bathroom only had enough for 2, not a family of 4. Plenty of parking in front of hotel entrance.

Very nice

It was clean, the beds and pillows were comfortable. The pool was nice and the staff was kind. The breakfast was generous. It was close to visiting our daughter.

Nice stay in Ypsilanti.

Very clean. Rooms were comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was good, with a decent selection and an efficient layout.

Had to wait for room even though it was after check-in time. Bathroom door would not stay closed (barn door with no latch and no way to keep it from sliding back open).

Clean, safe, spacious room, quality bed linens, great big TV that showed "Welcome Marilyn", when I walked into our room. There was a frig and microwave, both clean and in good working order. We plan to be in the area again in a few days, so I will give them another try.

The breakfast was sub-par from many other Hampton Inn's we have stayed in. The waffle irons were not working and the oatmeal in the crockpot was cold at 8am. The muffins were stale and the few yogurt cups were not refilled when empty.

Nice experience

the property is very nice and clean very elegant!

Initially when booking the room I was given the option to pay at the property, as I chose. Soon after I booked a couple hours go by and I see that my card is being charged, I call the property and the gentleman that answered the phone not only barely let me get anything out but he stated that because my room wasn’t paid for they were going to sell it. Once I mentioned that I am coming and the options I had when booking he quickly (over talked me) said ok and proceeded to say I’ll say love your room then. Upon arrival, the woman who checked me in was very decent and welcoming. When the morning came, I decided to head down for breakfast, when entering the breakfast area I asked the woman in the area so we make our own hot cakes the woman replied very rudely and said “Uh huh”. I brushed it off and proceeded to make me breakfast, when doing so the sound for the hot cake started ringing and the woman started to get frustrated with me rudely saying FLIP IT OVER OH MY GOD. Not only was that rude but in hindsight if I didn’t know what I was doing she could’ve simply offered help or politely explained to me what to do.

Clean, modern, bright, comfortable beds, very helpful staff. Breakfast was a standard hotel throughfare , but room itself whimsical and fun. Excellent stay for few days at a decent price
