A great one bedroom apartment with sea views

This was a perfect apartment for us - it was very convenient to the main road out of town enabling us to visit numerous fascinating Calabrian towns and sites. Stefania, was a fantastic host, she met us on arrival, was very friendly and helpful throughout. Prior to our arrival, her husband Giovanni sent us clear directions to the apartment. They live in the building so it was easy to contact them. I can see some confusion in the reviews - the listing is not completely clear that there are two apartments - both on the ground floor. We stayed in the one bedroom which has the spacious open-plan kitchen living dining area, a terrace with a seating area and nice views - particularly in the evening - when we sometimes had stupendous sunsets! We missed out on having the larger terrace but were pleased nevertheless as it was nice having the open space room with large patio doors. The place was immaculate, and tastefully decorated. The bed was very comfortable - we slept well after our long days travelling!

We had a wonderful relaxing few days in an amazing setting.

The apartment was great. Views of the ocean was amazing and the setup of the property was very well done. Our hostess Stefanie was so helpful. Nothing was a trouble. Would recommend this property. The area was lovely and it was our best stay so far.

Great experience

Best is terrace with view on Stromboli Vulcano. Great comfortable hammock on the terrace. Outside shower and sunbeds. Place is outside the town, very calm and green around. Local market 4 minutes by foot. Free water, coffe, tea and snacks for guests. Well equiped kitchen. Nice beach in the town with shower and parkingplace.

Bumpty and steep 50 m road to the house for small cars.

Very clean and comfortable apartment with aircondition and all you need to feel relax. Great sea view from the terrace. Shower on the terrace - this is a perfect idea in a hot weather. The host very nice with beautiful smile, very helpful and friendly answering our questions and requests within a minute. Great hospitality.

Located slightly out of town but an easy walk down to the Centro Storico where the restaurants and bars are located. Accommodation is a self-contained 2 bedroom apartment with a lovely large balcony area. Spotlessly clean and fully equipped kitchen.

A wonderful find

Fabulous place with amazing views and wonderful host, Stefania, for whom nothing was too much trouble. Everything you needed for a comfortable stay, close to supermarket and minimart. Yes it is a distance from the station but Stefania kindly collected us, not only when we arrived but also after we did a day trip to Diamante. The steps to the old town were challenging for my husband so we went up and down by road which he managed well even with a sore knee.

wonderful reception upon arrival and the view from the terrace was stunning, especially at sunset.

Lovely views and well equipped apartment

Very nice apartment, well presented, lovely views from the large balcony. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t the best and so couldn’t make use of the outdoor seating and unfortunately there is no indoor lounge area. Located at the top end of town with easy access by car from the main roads, we would suggest not driving into the middle of town as the roads are very narrow with no parking. The hosts are extremely helpful with suggestions of places to visit before arriving and help with anything else you need whilst there.

There was no hot water at the kitchen sink, we don’t know if it was a temporary issue.

View and size of unit are great. Host lives on site, but speaks no English.

Wind is substantial and noisy all night. Approximately 250 steps up and down to reach city center. No English spoken, but most info provided in writing.

Nice apartment with great view.

Very nice appartement with balcony and facilities to cook. Normally I walk from the bus or train station to my new place for the night. They offered to pick me up. And I’m glad they did. It’s pretty steep and there are many steps to take reaching Vista Stromboli.

This is a beautiful fully equipped apartment. It is just outside the old town of Paola and very quiet. Very friendly and welcoming owners.

It was cold in the bedroom. A warm duvet for winter would make a big improvement.

Superb

It’s a freshly renovated apartment a few minutes walk from the historic center of Paola. Beautiful terrace with view of the town and sea. Nice design and spotlessly clean, friendly host. Washing machine and tons of space to hang clothes were greatly appreciated. Beds were comfortable and there were plenty of hooks closets and drawers for storage space.

Hot water was very fickle and would cycle between super hot and cold every 30 seconds or so in the shower. The driveway is super steep and the way into the parking space is tight.

The landlord is a very pretty woman. We were at that property in December and in Paola was pretty cold on the day when we arrived. There is an air conditioner that works for heating as well. However, we had an issue with that air conditioner that did not work correctly. When we told that to the landlord she called the technician that came the next day, but from her side, she bought us in less than an hour a new heater that we had used until that time. It was a pleasure to stay there. Definitely 10-star service

Exceptional standard accommodation, incredible view, so impressed. Visit Paola.

This accommodation was exceptional and great value. One of the best places I have stayed in the last 4 weeks in Italy. The host was so lovely and she provides the most amazing apartment with nothing missed. Beautiful modern apartment with a fully equipped kitchen, large living and dining area, the most incredible shower that has water options that come from the side, front, top and even a waterfall effect!!! , a small breakfast snack, tea and coffee options. Located at the top of the hill behind Paola the view is exceptional. I could go on. Gianni needs to be congratulated on the quality of the accommodation she has provided. I will definitely be recommending to friends to stay here and also visit this lovely little town along the coast. I was driving from Sicily to Sorrento along the coast, was not sure where I would stay, so glad I picked Paola and so glad I picked this place, thanks Gianni and well done on the quality you provide.

Finding the place was a bit hard but it was dark, the instructions provided were good, google was just not quiet getting me to the correct gate. I am sure this will be fixed and at day time it all made sense. Maybe some photos of the entry arriving from both directions, I was coming from the direction most would not come from I think.

Super clean, small 2 bedroom apartment with big outdoor terrace with views

Modern, 2 bedroom fresh apartment on ground floor. Parking outside main door but be aware drive is very steep. Overall the apartment is quite appealing. The beds were super comfortable. The large outdoor terrace has a great view down to the centre and old town. The small breakfast items, coffee, tea, juice and milk was a nice touch.

The 2 bedroom, 65 sq m apartment has no indoor living area but a kitchen with a small table and plastic seats. There is no indoor sofa so sitting indoors at night in the kitchen is kinda uncomfortable on plastic seats. We looked at the cover photos and assumed each of the two available ground floor apartments had a living room. The 1 bedroom, 50 sq m apartment does but not the 2 bedroom 65 sq m apartment. The outdoor terrace had a garden setting but we found the cushions very thin to sit outside and we wanted to relax indoors and watch tv after a long day out. Also, having to sit outside may not be possible due to weather. I expected the second bedroom to be unlocked since we booked a two bedroom apartment but it wasn’t and had to be made up. So verify this if only two people travelling.

Relaxing, practical and charming.

We have been cycle touring for 2 months and this was the most comfortable and restful stay of the trip so far. The layout of the apartment is brilliant and the owner has thought carefully about the amenities provided. The balcony is very relaxing and it was special to take an outdoor shower. Our favourite part was the smart tvs in bedroom and kitchen as we were able to watch familiar shows on YouTube, Amazon prime and Netflix. We really enjoyed our stay here and the owner welcomed us warmly and made sure we had everything we needed. I would highly reccomend this place.

Pleasant and lovely

No breakfast served.

Overall a great place, great hosts. The only problem was that it was far from any restaurants or shops, hence long walks to get essentials. This is a great place for travellers with a car.

The appartement is huge, everything is brand new, clean, and I felt comfortable right away. So much so, that I decided to stay longer. The hosts are wonderful, they picked me up and brought me back to the station which was great. The view is amazing as well, overlooking Paola and the wide ocean. Plus you can see Stromboli in the distance. Overall a great stay, I wouldn't think twice about booking this place.

There is absoletely nothing bad to say about this accomodation. I really enjoyed my stay there! Especially because the owners were soo friendly! They always answered immediately when i texted them, gave me advice what to do and where to get good pizza for example. They also picked me up from the train station ans offered to bring me back after the checkout. Besides that i got a small breakfast and a vine. They just made me feel welcome and comfortable from the beginning. Grazie! :))

Priceless service for only a one night transfer stop

In my case it was a transit stop for one night on my trip by train to Sicily. Shortly after booking Gianni told me that she picks me up at the station in Paola. We had a good communication via WhatsApp in between, so all went very smoothly. In the morning I was driven back to the station as well, a really priceless service with my heavy backpack. The host itself is incredible, much more one needs for only 1 night. I would choose it as Nr.1 for a longer stay in Paola. Highly recommended by me.

I didn't find anything what not to like here. If somebody don't like cats, you should be careful it does not come into the room when the door to the terrasse is open. I personally like cats and had a sweet cuddle in the morning :)

A renovated apartment, everything is impeccably clean and shining. There is everything for a comfortable stay and even more. 2 bedrooms apartment has a fully furnished spacious terrace. Very tranquil, relaxing with beautiful views. There are 2 supermarkets in walking distance. The hosts are so kind and helpful! Thank you so much! We had a really nice time here and will be back!

Absolutely nothing. Not a single guest wants to leave)) we saw several other guests in the second apartment during our stay. A really nice, relaxing place!
