This 1880 historic coastal home (with CENTRAL AIR!) is located just a half mile from Downtown Wakefield Village in South Kingstown, RI and just a few miles from RI's sandy beaches. It boasts the historic charm of a New England coastal cottage with the updates that you look for in a vacation home-away-from-home. There are 4 spacious bedrooms, 2 full baths, 1 half bath and hardwoods throughout. Tastefully decorated in 'Boho Beach Charm' that you will love the moment you arrive! The town of Narragansett is just about 4 miles from the house where you can choose from three state beaches that are beautiful, clean, and family friendly. Take the Block Island Ferry from Pt. Judith, just about 6 miles from the house and enjoy Block Island for a day of shopping, restaurants, boating, sunbathing. Newport is a 25 minute drive, Mystic Aquarium, Seaport and Village just 45 minutes away. If you love casinos and shows, Foxwoods Resort/Casino is a 45 minute drive as well.

Our stay was amazing! The house accommodated our family well, giving us space as well as places to gather. The location was ideal-proximity to varied places of interest for all. Lisa and Steve are the best hosts we have ever had for Vrbo vacations- friendly, accommodating and thoughtful.

We had an awesome time at this beautiful home. We have been renting in South County for 13 years and this house was definitely top notch. The owners were very friendly and responsive and went above and beyond to provide everything we could possibly need. The house was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The deck/yard was perfect for my girls to play and for us to relax. I would definitely recommend!!

Beautiful House - Close to Everything!
Our family stayed at the Allen House for two weeks this summer and had an amazing stay. When it comes to this vacation rental, the owners have truly thought of everything! We were greeted with two bountiful gift baskets-- the perfect surprise after a long day of traveling. The home was clean and beautifully decorated and included everything we needed for a fun beach vacation. The drive to the beach is quick and easy, and we loved being able to escape the crowds and come back to our little relaxing haven each day. Wakefield is also super cute and has lots of little stores and restaurants to check out. I would highly recommend this home to anyone vacationing in RI and hope to stay here again in the future!

Delightful Week
Our stay at the Allen House was perfect. Steve and Lisa went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we needed, and the house was clean, roomy, and so relaxing.
The house is a short and easy 7-8 minute drive to the beaches in Narragansett and a very leisurely, short, and beautiful walk to downtown Wakefield. We especially loved being able to walk downtown to the ice cream shop and apothecary/soda fountain each day and sitting outside in the picturesque backyard each morning and evening. This house is an absolutely wonderful place to stay! Thank you, Steve and Lisa!

We enjoyed every minute of our stay and will be back. It was centrally located to shops, restaurants and beaches all within 15-30 minutes depending on what you are looking for. The owners thought of every detail from a fully equipped kitchen right down to the spices to all the beach items needed for a day at the beach. Charming and Convenient!
We were welcomed to Lisa and Steve's charming home with a tray of treats on the counter and in the fridge. It was beyond generous! Their home is freshly decorated with lots of attention to detail and was stocked with anything anyone would need for a beach vacation. We did run out of propane during our two-week stay and Steve promptly brought us a new tank. The house is in a wonderful location - a short walk to town and a short drive to several beaches. We had a wonderful stay and hope to go back next summer.

Simply the best!!
It was a wonderful week and a wonderful house. There is absolutely nothing negative to say. It’s was clean, comfortable, cozy and spacious. Check in was amazing ( baskets galore!) and just all around perfect. I walked 2 miles every morning and even that was perfect!!! 5-10 mins from everything you want and need. Downtown Wakefield was lovely. Would rent again in a minute!

This house was perfect for our summer needs. Although there was a perfume cleaning smell when we first arrived, it aired out nicely. Great open space dining, kitchen living area. The three bedroom areas are separate for privacy. With small children this works great! The outdoor fenced patio and yard were perfect for relaxing. The kitchen had so many nice provisions when we arrived. This was much appreciated.
We could walk to town for dining and water fire on the river. Found a great little pottery studio down the street.
The decor is beachy teal which we loved! A fresh new sofa would make the place perfect! We will be back!

Fantastic Accomodations
Lisa was a spectacular host. We stayed at her home for 2.5 weeks and the house had everything we needed. The house is beautifully decorated and it was relaxing to just sit down and take it all in. So many cute and creative touches. Having four bedrooms was key for us and we felt the home was very spacious. The fenced in backyard is perfect for enjoying summer nights with Adirondack chairs, grill and plenty of seating. So many great touches the owners have put into this property that made our stay wonderful.

Look no further. This house is amazing. So cozy, very clean, and has everything you need! Great location- walking distance with sidewalks to downtown and bike path. The homeowners made you feel very welcome and were just a text away if you needed anything. Would highly recommend it!
