They should post shops photo also. It would be helpful for customers to have idea, Customers can get Bisleri water n dry fruits for trekking n eatable at the remote mountain area.

The property is ideally suited for trekkers intent on climbing the Kudremukha Peak.
The family hosting is wonderful, extremely courteous, cheerful and accommodating.
On weekdays, when bookings are to a minimum, you literally have the entire house to yourself; it's peaceful, quiet and cosy.
They serve some delicious Malnad food, albeit it's Jain cuisine, in keeping with the family's belief system.
The house is just off the State Highway, with a semi private bus station opposite the road; convenient to access from Chikmagalur via Kalasa, as well as in the opposite direction towards Mangalore via Karkala.
The private washroom of our quadruple room did not have a basin/sink. I personally found that odd, but it isn't much of a deal breaker if your stay is limited and the purpose of the visit is to trek.
My experience with Booking.com while paying for this stay was unsavoury; despite paying the entire amount for the stay in advance, the deficit payment at the time of departure seemed much more than expected (taking into consideration the meals as well as the trek permits).
It makes sense to directly coordinate with the family rather than book them via Booking.com. My opinion, is that this could save you some money.
We were looked after by Niswarth Jain and his mother; I suggest booking a stay with them directly.

Location is good. It's nearby the trekking starting point. They also arranged for the guide and everything. Place was clean.
