The house is near the end of Nelson road, so basically like a quiet cul-de-sac without through traffic. The driveway is about 45' long, however only about 20' closest to the garage is fairly level. The driveway then slopes down towards the street. So, you may want to bring some leveling blocks, if the trailer needs to stay more level. The height of the bottom of the deck is about 12'. The driveway can fit between 4 and 6 vehicles, depending on the size of the vehicles. Plus, there is room for about 3 vehicles on the street in front of the house. Other things to note There are animals like deer in the area. - Concerning outdoor games, there is a bag toss game, plus a hammock. - There multiple mountain bikes (both man and woman styles). One would need to supply their own helmet. - There is one stand-up board and 4 kayaks. Since they are a little heavy, one would want to strap them one at a time to a padded roof and slowly drive them down to the boat launch. There are swim noodles and ropes, which one could use to cushion and tie down one stand-up board or kayak at a time to a vehicle roof. One is required to wear a life jacket, which are in one of the closets. For the Kayaks and paddle board it is recommended to use the camp ground boat ramp, since there are far fewer boats and that area is much better protected from wind. - There are two fishing poles, however one would need to buy the hooks/spinners/weights/etc to attach to the line from the Marina or fish shop or bring your own. - The Marina also rents powered boats and possibly jet skis as well. There are other boat rentals, if the Marina does not have a boat available. - The camp ground on the North side of Rexford has a swim beach and also a boat launch. If it is not totally calm, then one wants to launch the kayak or paddle board from the camp ground boat launch. On a calm day one can paddle from one boat ramp to the other boat ramp. Concerning Pets: $100/pet per stay. Leash required. Pets/dogs should not be left alone inside the house. Pets/dogs should not allowed to be left alone outside of the house for very long, unless attached to a Leash in the back yard. Deck cannot be used as a dog run or place to leave animals/dogs. There is a $100 charge for droppings pickup, if not done by guest. Thank you for your cooperation. Some fun things to do in the area, which are unique to this area: - The "Pacific North West Trail", which follows along the Lake Koocanusa shore line. About 5 minutes walk from the house. Great for hiking and mountain biking. - Stonehenge Air Museum, which also has a unique golf course. - Rexford Bench Swim Beach, which also has a boat ramp with access to Lake Koocanusa and Tobacco River. Great place for Kayaking and Standup-Boards. - The Koocanusa Sand Dunes and Trail System is a hidden gem in Montana, offering an exhilarating off-road experience. Located in the northwestern corner of the state near the Canadian border, this expansive off-road playground spans over 20 miles of diverse trails, showcasing a mix of sand dunes, forests, and winding roads. - The Abayance Bay Marina has many music concerts during the summer. There is an Event Center, where one can get married as well with beautiful Lake and Mountain back grounds.

Mark was a great host, with easy instructions and many amenities at the house to enjoy our stay at the lake. We were a quick walk down to the marina, the Bowl restaurant, and the Frontier pub in Rexford. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here!

My whole family was together to celebrate my birthday. It is a great house for family gatherings. We spent a lot of time on the large deck with a view of mountains and sunset. Highly recommended.

Short drive to Wilderness Club. Great marina pub close by. Well appointed home. Thanks for everything!

We had a great weekend at Mark's house! I am sad to say we did not get to make use of all the house and area has to offer. We were there for a bachelor weekend golf outing and played the Wilderness and Indian Springs. 2 of the nicest courses in MT I assure you. We did luck out on Friday night and wandered in to a Nitty Gritty Dirt band concert by the marina. They have live music down there nearly every weekend in the summer. The house was as advertised or maybe better. Neat and clean. It would be a great family spot. I wish I had been able to get out on the lake, maybe next time. I would not hesitate to rent it again.

Beautiful lake house in mountain village
Wonderful house and experience. We would definitely stay again. Owner was wonderful and organized. Easy to communicate with about the house! Truly a dream house and very quiet lake!

Very spacious, though it was bit far from Glacier National park, the owner was very helpful to find local activities for kids. Be really enjoyed the stay. The owner was super nice to deal with. I definitely recommend this place.

We enjoyed the home very much. If you expect views of the water from the home, as we did, there are none that we could see. I’m not sure why we thought it overlooked the water … I guess from the pictures of the water we assumed incorrectly. If that’s not important and you just want to be near the lake, this is a great home and a great lake. You can walk to it in 10 minutes. The host was great. We’ll be back again.

Meh.
I hate to leave a less than 5 star review, but this property was not worth the price we paid. We come to Montana every year and we stayed at 3 different places this year. This one was the most expensive per night, but definitely the least nice.
You are essentially staying in a campground with a lot of RV’s near you. There is no view. The pictures online are quite different from the actual place…different linens (very cheap/scratchy), no outdoor table on deck, fire barely works with minimal flame on deck, mismatched outdoor cushions, etc. The photos definitely make it look like a higher quality place than it is.
The a/c didn’t seem to work upstairs. It was freezing on main level and incredibly hot upstairs.
There are no outdoor garbage cans, so you must drive 10 minutes to take out any full bags of trash. You can’t leave trash bags outside due to bears.
The positive is that the owner is a great communicator through texts. I just personally would not stay here again especially for 700/ night.
