About this house rental
Located in Mount Airy, this lovely house for $195 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Newly renovated 1940's Bungalow located in the heart of Mayberry. We are within walking distance to downtown shopping, restaurants, coffee shops and bakeries. We are literally around the corner from Wally's Service Station where they offer rides in the squad cars. Pilot Mtn park is a 15 minute drive south on hwy 52. It has some amazing views and hiking paths. Speaking of walking paths, Mount Airy has some beautiful paths downtown, along the river. We are in close proximity to several Yadkin Valley wineries. The Blue Ridge Parkway is a 15 minute ride north of us. It's a beautiful sight anytime of the year but Fall is amazing. This home has 3 bedrooms (queen bed, full bed and bunk beds - 200lb limit on bunks) 2 baths (one tub / one shower) and is full of charm. We have two porches and a deck to sit and relax on (smoking permitted there only, not inside the home) and enjoy the NC weather. Our home has WiFi, cable TV, fully equipped kitchen and laundry room. Extra linens are available and the beds are freshly made. We have parking to accommodate 4 cars. We take cleaning serious! We do our best to provide you with a clean, comfortable environment. Contact free check in. I have been a VRBO host for 13 years and I enjoy sharing our home with all of you. 1 night stays are sometimes available on weekdays, please message me. We were visiting family in the surrounding area and this home was the perfect base. Easy walk to Main Street for the Mayberry experience. Easy drives to Pilot Mountain and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Good location for visiting the wineries.
Fantastic host, who answered all questions before arrival and some even after we arrived. Beautiful house that reflects the area. Exactly as shown. (I wanted to put the paisley chairs in my suitcase.) Well provisioned for visitors, even those who want to cook. The outside space would be a treat, but it was winter for us, so only a few mornings on the front porch in the sunshine. Very quiet neighbourhood.
We can highly recommend the property.

This was by far the loveliest home we have booked through VRBO ! Very clean and all the amenities were top shelf , as well as the furnishings and bedding . The " Bank Street Bungalow " was tastefully decorated for Christmas that added a homey feel to our stay ! The house is an easy 5 min. walk into town . We went to a concert in the Earle Theater and it was a 4 min. drive . Visited several wineries all under 30 min. away .We cannot say enough good things about our stay.......THANK YOU

We had the best time! We came to visit some of the local wineries in the area. The house itself was comfortable and very charming! There were five of us and we had plenty of space. Our favorite part of the house was the back deck, where we could just laugh and relax! Thank you for a fantastic stay!!!

The home is completely renovated and quite spacious with an open concept. Beautifully done. Very clean and well appointed. It was so relaxing to sit on the front porch with a glass of wine and actually hear the birds. Very quiet neighborhood with the main street within walking distance. Highly recommend.

This was a wonderful weekend trip. When we arrived we took our luggage in and left to walk downtown. A lovely walk and such a delightful downtown.
This home is fully furnished. Liz even has some treats on the counter with a candy dish and a cracker jar. A perfect rocking chair front porch. The beds were a bit firm for our family but that is preference personal choice. Highly recommend. This house has everything from A-Z! You want be disappointed.

Our visit was to celebrate 51st anniversary. House was in a perfect location to walk to downtown Mayberry. House was well equipped for our stay and fenced back yard was great for our dog. The house is so welcome and cozy. It actually became one of the main attractions to our trip. After spending time in town we couldn’t wait to get back to the bungalow. We discussed how we would like a house just like it as our retirement home. We hated to leave. Very nice, quiet neighborhood. We had a fantastic stay here in Mount Airy. The house is beautifully decorated with lots of living room and outdoor space. It is all well decorated with lots of seating and everything you would need. The owner was extremely responsive and accommodating. The house is a very easy and safe walk to downtown. We would definitely recommend this house!

The house was spectacular! The interior is spacious, functional and well designed. The location of the property was in walking distance to the downtown attractions. The seasonal decorations were an added bonus. The outside was as well kept as the inside with up to date outdoor furniture and a well maintained yard

This house was perfect for our family of 5, teenagers and adults. Location was great and close to everything, you could walk to downtown. House was clean and furnished with all that you would need to stay for a short time or week. Town was so cute, my teenagers even enjoyed the visit!

I booked this house for a surprise birthday getaway for my Mother and she absolutely loved it. Liz was an amazing host and gave all the information we needed. We could not have asked for a cuter house to stay in for the weekend. It was open, clean, stocked with everything we could need, and close enough that we could walk downtown. We had a lovely visit to Mt Airy. The area is beautiful. We loved that the Bungalow was within easy walking distance of downtown. Lots of food options are close by. The wineries in the area are very good. The Bungalow is awesome: nicely furnished, comfortable and very clean.

The house was a perfect choice for our girls weekend getaway. The accommodations were clean, spacious and a perfect location near Main Street. We especially enjoyed working the puzzles that were provided during our downtime. Liz was wonderful to work with and checked in to ensure we enjoyed our stay. This property looked good online but its even better in person! We loved our stay here - walked around the corner and enjoyed a squad car tour of downtown Mt Airy. Property is within 1.5miles of the cute downtown area. There were plenty of "starter" amenities (ie paper towels, salt, coffee filters, etc) and it was super clean. We were very happy with our choice.

We have a special place for Mt. Airy and this house didn’t disappoint. The openness of the kitchen living room area really provided a space where we could hang with our friends. There was space for each of us to sit comfortable. We loved being so close to town, if it weren’t so cold I think all of us would have walked. A few of us did any way, gotta close those rings and it’s only 11 minute walk. The master bedroom was exactly what we needed. The other rooms are small, a double is tough for another couple so they went to the bunkbeds. Though, in our mind the location is worth small rooms. We hung out primarily in the living room anyway, so beds are beds. Also, they provided enough extra blankets, which for those who get cold was a great option. Thank you for a great stay and memorable trip.
