rien à dire

The location was stunning, accommodation was rustic and cosy. The host was also welcoming on the whole.

On arrival there were about 50 flies swarming the gîte. The insecticide was hard to find so we had to spend money buying our own and then had to spend an hour and a half finding and killing them all. As the host stated, we are aware that there are flies in the countryside however we did this on our first night and they did not return for the remainder of our stay as we kept the windows and doors shut, so this was something which should have been sorted before we arrived. There is also a €25 euro charge for linen which was not stated until after booking. We had hoped this would be waived to account for the time and money we spent sorting the flies but unfortunately it was not. Overall this made the stay unfortunately fall short of our expectations and not value for the money we spent
