We had a 2 bedroom suite which was right next to the pool. The location & views were superb, bamboo villas give the property a real island feeling. Breakfast was freshly prepared & served each morning on our huge balcony. The beds were comfortable & king size. They also provide a taxi service into Labuan Bajo for next to nothing & pick you up when it’s time to return. We walked into town a few times as well, 20-30mins downhill.
The staff at reception were great, arranged a driver for a day to take us into the mountains, waterfalls, cave swimming & traditional villages.
The bathrooms could do with a bit of a refresh.
Elang is on a hillside, so there’s stairs & no elevator access to the rooms. It didn’t bother us, we loved it, but if you have mobility issues it would be a problem.

The view! Treehouse feel, mosquito net. Lovely balcony.
The stairs are a lot , if you are coming and going, but for us it was fine.
What I really didn’t like was on Saturday night across the valley at big hotel they have karaoke until 1.30am. It’s was impossible to sleep until they finally stopped it was so loud.
But that’s all, this is a beautiful place to stay, just not on Saturday night.

lovely and unique concept, room was well decorated and air conditioned , great views
some of the trees could be trimmed to show a better view, the trees were blocking the view

Excellent service, within minutes after the call went out, things were organized. Excellent staff, very helpful all the time. Excellent food and delivery where you want it. And a room with a view!!
That we had to leave that quickly 😭
