The Governor's Inn

Convenient location to shops, restaurants. Little traffic. Good parking. Exceptional breakfasts. Congenial hosts. Cheerful staff. Afternoon treats. Robes. Comfy bed. Super fluffy towels.

No place to store bags on 1st floor. I was on a motorcycle and had to unload exposed luggage for safety reasons. Stairs are a bit steep to carry bags.

Personal and inviting

Bed and Breakfasts, in general, are sometimes a unique taste for travelers, but if you are game for the potential experience you will always want to find a unique property with engaging, good-humored owners who might share a story or two along the way. The Governor's Inn fits the bill well. Logistically, they are a short walk to some great stores and restaurants in Ludlow and a quick 5-minute drive to skiing at Okemo. The house itself and our room were spotless and unique. Breakfast was very good and well-paced and the proprietors, Rosemarie and Holger, were very friendly and helpful with our plans and surroundings, buzzing around like a favorite aunt and uncle. They were always very proactive about making sure our stay was comfortable and happy and keeping us updated on local info on the BIG STORM (late January, 2026) with which our stay happened to coincide. Put this location on your list.

The breakfast was amazing, they took excellent care to make sure my allergies were accounted for. Every meal was delicious!
