Trust Hotel

I didn't know that hotels could have private rooms and capsule rooms in one building! I was fortunate enough to get a room to myself on short notice. It's exactly like a standard room in a business hotel with a TV, chair, desk, mini fridge and space to hang clothes. The bathroom is rather compact, but the shower room was standard size so it felt spacious inside. Many reviews had positive things to say about the breakfast they provide, as well as their in-house(?) made shokupan which I was eager to try. They have slices of that at breakfast, and after I tried it I decided to commit to a whole loaf for my next journey! Bring cash for this BEST SHOKUPAN!!! The dining area has group and individual seating like at fast food restaurants. It's buffet style but do not expect anything luxurious! It has a more homemade mom-and-pop feel, which I found very comforting. Each day seemed to consistently have bread, yogurt, soup, eggs and rice. The other dishes were different or varied each day, such as different types of cold salads and cooked side dishes. Interestingly, I noticed there was no fruit. The drink machines have juice, soda, coffee and more. I was surprised that lunch and dinner meals were also available for a fee! I didn't stay for those meals, but I found it to be a considerate and convenient option for guests since this area had few dining options unless you walked to the supermarket or train station. Even the nearest convenience store seemed a bit far, perhaps due to the heat.

I found the hotel room to be rather dark. The only two lights (excluding the bathroom) were at the corridor and above the bed. The desk and chair were in the corner where there was less light especially at night. The window only helps during the day but that's when I go out! As someone who runs hot, whenever I stepped into the lobby I would sweat almost immediately. There was definitely air conditioning but not enough for me to feel comfortable. I am glad that I had air conditioning in my room that I could easily control by myself. Thankfully the homepage on the TV shows the laundry machines' status. However since it's on the same floor as the onsen/bath, the area is often humid and musty. This seems to happen often in the carpeted areas of smaller buildings. There were also quite a few flies hanging around the laundry machines so I wanted to get out of there as soon as I could. This is not a dislike, just a warning. The staff seem to know some English but not enough for you to get by with broken Japanese alone. Definitely have a translation device ready for a smoother process.

The room is spacious for twin double. The breakfast is great with traditional Japanese dishes, lots of vegetables. Staff are friendly and allow for luggage storage for before checkin and after checkout . Closed to Aeon and walking distance to train station

the shutter doors on the capsule rooms are very loud so i did get woken up a few times by other people
