Absolute gem of a hotel, would definitely come again! Such a beautiful, romantic, soulful hide-away some 5km from the beach overlooking the bay. I loved the design of the space (amazing open yoga shambala!), the food in the vegan-only restaurant, the super-nice staff, the pool - including hot tub!, the net where you could lie and watch the sunset whilst parrots where flying by and the entire style of the place! Felt very luxurious and down-to-earth at the same time. It's a really good place for couples, given that it's an adult-only hotel and feels really romantic - lots of young couples in their 30ies there. I really liked the outdoor movie night where they brought us blankets and popcorn as well!
The room was pretty small and quite loud - with one window leading directly to the restaurant area and the roof being the floor of the upstairs neighbours where one could literally hear every single step they took!
If you travel without your own car, they offer shuttles to the closest town/ the beach - but back & forth to the beach alone costs 40 dollars!

One of the most special places we have had the good fortune to visit!
Spectacular views of the bay from the pool, hammocks, eating areas and yoga / exercise space, with trees and wild birds all around.
The buildings are beautifully constructed and the rooms are lovely with lots of space, storage, and very comfortable beds and pillows.
The shampoo, conditioner, and soap provided are a lovely touch and are all high quality.
But the shining stars (other than the beach bay views) are the staff and the food!!
Staff are so friendly, attentive, and eager to help. Everyone we interacted with was so lovely. We felt particularly lucky to have Walter as our server for most of our meals, and were thrilled to get to taste one of the teas he makes with local ingredients (they’re not on the menu yet but hopefully will be soon — ask to order them, especially the "pineapple rose"!!).
And the FOOD -- just WOW. The chefs in the kitchen are clearly passionate about their work - the dishes are inventive, freshly made with local ingredients often from on-site, and so flavorful. They were extremely thoughtful, and their love of cooking immediately translates into the food on your plate. Breakfasts are amazing (the pancakes !!! just trust me), and we had so much fun trying to try as much of the menu as possible in our two days there. A truly beautiful way to showcase the variety and flavours vegan cuisine can have.
Thus is truly such a special place where you immediately feel at ease and connected with nature, and yourself. We are so excited to return!!

This place is like a hidden gem in the jungle. We loved the view over the whale tail, the hammock terrace and pool area. The nature and wilderness is calling you every morning here. Absolutely unforgettable!

My stay at Selva Armonia in Uvita was an absolute dream come true! After traveling throughout Costa Rica for 9 days, this place was the perfect grand finale. Wow, wow, wow! The staff went above and beyond to make our experience exceptional, not just within the property but also assisting us with our adventures outside. Jefferson and Carlos were absolutely fantastic, and the rest of the team was equally wonderful.
The location of Selva Armonia is simply breathtaking—a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature's beauty. I found myself completely immersed in serenity, and I wish I could transport myself back there right now. The amenities offered were world-class, leaving nothing to be desired.
If you're looking for a truly transformative experience in Costa Rica, Selva Armonia is the place to be. You won't regret it! My heart is already yearning for a return trip. Thank you to everyone at Selva Armonia for making my stay so unforgettable!

Everything! The staff were awesome and accommodating with late check out, making sure I got a cab promptly when leaving. The bartender Jefferson was so friendly and good at what he does!
I would recommend maybe a few different meal options. Maybe a different dinner menu than the lunch/main menu.

The breakfast was excellent. I was sad to miss my 2nd pancake day because I had an early meet up for diving. The room was in good shape and I was upgraded for staying 6 nights in the off season. Staff was very helpful. The fruit salad is the best dish.
Prices for massages were a bit steep, I found a more affordable place in town to go (Sunset Bodyworks) that was very good. Prices for food/drink a little high with mixed quality for dinner. I wish there were yoga lessons every day. I was only able to make one due to other planned activities.

Gorgeous property! You really feel like you are in paradise. Also, as non-vegans we were a bit unsure how we would like the food - but it was really phenomenal (some of the best food we had all trip actually).
The one challenge with the location is that it is a bit of a crazy drive to get to. It's totally worth it because the views and location are incredible, but just be warned that the drive to get there is rugged and steep!

This was a gorgeous place to stay! I loved the location of the resort up in the jungle overlooking the ocean. The sunsets were amazing and the nets by the pool were an excellent place to watch them. There were beautiful plants and flowers everywhere, birds calling and zipping around, and the resort was beautifully designed. Driving down to town early in the morning I saw 5 blue morpho butterflies, and the resort offers walking tours to learn about the plants and the animals that can be found on the property.
I did not like the location/layout of the rooms with the shared bathrooms. My room was on the side of the restaurant, where at 6 am they start laying out the coffee and breakfast things against my wall and the restaurant stays open into the night. Since the windows are screens so that you can enjoy the sounds of the jungle, I felt like I had no privacy. There also was insufficient lighting in the room, barely ambiance lighting, and I had to use my headlamp to find things in my suitcase. My dominant windows look out into the restaurant, so to open the curtains for more light exposes me to everyone at the restaurant. Then, to get to the bathrooms, I had to walk through the restaurant and a common sitting area to get to the stairs that go down to the bathrooms. This did not particularly bother me, but if you were a modest person, it could be frustrating as there was no place to keep dry clothes while you are showing, so I was walking all through the property in just my towel. The bottom floor rooms seem to be a better location because they are next to the bathrooms and below the restaurant for a bit more privacy.

The jungle vibe is the first thing you are struck by…secondly comes the impressive view of thej jungle hill side and ocean/whale tail beach at Ballena NP. Absolutely gorgeous. The resort is built with extreme care for details and everything is beautifully crafted. Pool area is nicely integrated into jungle and very refreshing. We stayed in a Bali-styled house. Extremely luxurious and lovely details. The outdoor shower with view to the ocean and jungle were especially nice
The only “complaint” we have, is that sun soaking around the pool is very difficult due to shading trees and palms. The area is quite small and hence doesn’t allow much sun to pass thru. It indeed gives a lovely jungle vibe, but not much sun

Beautiful setting with incredible views and nice staff!
25 dollar taxi to the town from the hotel is disappointing when leaving. We felt the hotel could provide a transfer to the town as it is not accessible any other way.
Drinks at the bar are completely overpriced! I think they should mention in the title that it is a vegan hotel and doesn't have any snacks apart from the set meal times.

Absolutely beautiful! the location, ethos, staff, rooms, pool area, everything. We were so well looked after by the staff. it was very clean! The resort doesn’t have a lot of rooms so it felt very private with ample space! Best resort we’ve ever stayed in.

The hotel is located in the middle of the jungle and the view is one of the most beautiful views I have seen.
The staff are very very nice and tried to make or stay better. The rooms did not meet our needs and we were offered an upgrade with a small discount in one room consiering that we had mistakenly booked rooms with no private bathrooms.
So in general the staff tried to make our stay better.
I was travelling with my parents and family and this hotel was not appropiate because it requires, walking in cobbled paths, our rooms didnt have private bathrooms and vegan food was not the kind of foof my parents eat. The restaurant doesn't offer any options, not even bread or jam for breakfast. And it is 20 minutes ride to the closest restaurant.
I think it is overpriced considering that rooms didnt include a bathroom. I also recommend the hotel to advice beforehand that the rooms have shared bathrooms, that food is vegan only, and that it is a 20 minute ride to town with a 4x4 vehicle.
