We initially booked 3 nights then added another night as travel plans changed. The hotel combined the bookings into 4 nights in the same room. Good sized room and bathroom.
We did not pre-book breakfast but tried it in our first morning (Sunday) and had it every day. Eggs cooked to order plus a plate of varied cold meats and cheese and a surprisingly huge range of other accompaniments - at a good price too.
The hotel is in the traditional pedestrianised centre of a small old town. No passing traffic noise.
The rail station is a 10 plus minute walk away on the edge of town but the bridge over the river (with the ruined castle in the background) which features in many railway photos is a short walk from the hotel for rail photographers.
Gmunden is a pleasant small town. Hotel zum Koppen no longer serves main meals. Four alternatives are available but three of them are closed on Tuesdays when the remaining one gets well booked.

Für uns hat es mit dem 3er-Zimmer sehr gut gepasst, auch wenn es nicht sehr groß war. Auf der Straße vorn ist viel Verkehr. Räder konnten wir unterstellen und die Autos am Main kostenfrei parken. Frühstück war sehr gut mit Eiern nach Wahl. Die Dame/Chefin war supernett, hatte Tipps für uns und bot uns Schirme an.
Leider kein Restaurantbetrieb mehr, aber es gibt Alternativen im Ort.

außerordentlich gutes, reiches und liebevoll hergerichtetes Frühstück!!!
Direkt an der Bahnlinie, keine Klimaanlage!!!!
