Facilities, bed, bathroom and cleanliness were excellent. Extra unexpected bonus supplies (milk, tea, coffee) as well as WiFi!
Traffic noise (on main road) and busyness of gate with cars coming & going right outside our door & windows throughout the day & evening.

Granola, frosties and cows milk for breakfast as well as good coffee and selection of teas, nice for a basic breakfast thank you. The kitchenette contained a microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge, and coffee machine. There were two plates, two bowls, two dessert spoons and some teaspoons. Water was provided for the kettle. The location was beautiful with a 5 minute walk to the local bus stop for buses to Dublin or locally, and many great hiking and walking routes within walking distance. It was about a 40 minute walk from the accommodation into the heart of Glendalough which we walked a few times.
Arrival information wasn't provided so we had to try to call the host at the gate but she then arranged swift entrance for us. For preparing food the facilities were basic and the kitchen lacked a sink.

The decor was bright and fresh. We appreciated the presence of a refrigerator. The bed was comfortable. We were pleased to find blackout quality curtains.
The shower drain was badly blocked and smelled so bad, when my husband tried to fix it, that he didn't care to use it. The base of the shower was dangerously slippery when I used it and discovered that the water wasn't draining properly. Might we suggest a non-slip shower mat to prevent accidents.The cubicle seems to show signs of mould on the grouting. The location next to a busy road wasn't what we expected. Traffic noise started around 5am and we couldn't sleep thereafter. Very little communication before our arrival and the welcome was distinctly hands off.We knew that we wouldn't get breakfast but a slightly more generous supply of provisions (particularly milk) would have been appreciated.
