The house is beautiful and well stocked. The property location was perfect for my small children who would wake up and play in the sand in the mornings. Gene responded very quickly to the few questions I had during my stay. He also graciously allowed us to stay through the afternoon on the day of checkout as he did not have new renters coming in. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We stayed at this property for a few days in July. It is a very beautiful property, appears to be very newly decorated/remodeled. This property had everything that we could have needed. It’s it’s right on the beach, in a nice area of East Haven. The house was very comfortable, cozy and the property manager is very pleasant, communicative and easy to deal with. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We loved staying here! The house was extremely clean, with a private beach and spectacular views. We did read another review about bringing water shoes which we appreciated because the sand is very shelly. A couple of things to note. There are no shades! The curtains are sheer, so expect a 5:15 wake up call at sunrise! It was very irritating to have the sun shining through very early in the mornings. We bought temporary shades but they didn’t get delivered in time of our stay. Needless to say, we didn’t have the best sleep and our kids did not have the best nap/sleep situation. Also, there is no bathtub so that makes it a bit difficult with the kids as well. There wasn’t a shower hose either, so we brought a handheld shower. Just something else to be aware of if bringing kids. Also, no crib. I still gave 5 stars because most of these things you can fix or try to accommodate kids as best you can. You can tell the property is very well maintained, a lot of time and money was put into it, and the owner is very easy to get ahold of, which are all worthy of a great review. We couldn’t figure out how the upstairs shower worked, and Gene wrote back to me very quickly. I also asked if I could have some items shipped to the house (we needed a mattress for a crib that we borrowed) and that was allowed. Overall, great house and stunning views but not accommodating for kids and people who like to sleep in past 5:15am :)

The house is situated right on the beach. We could watch and hear the waves all day, totally relaxing. I really appreciated the house interior is all white and minimal like a boutique hotel. Our stay was in January and their were few people or neighbors around or even on the beach. It was a very private and peaceful stay.

This is a lovely home in an amazing location. Close to shops, freeway and Tweed New Haven Airport. We flew in to spend Thanksgiving with family. When we found this home on VRBO we knew it would be the perfect spot - direct waterfront! The home has been renovated and is perfect for a small family. The location is dreamy. I spent each morning just listening to the waves crash on the beach. The neighborhood is very quiet so it was a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy our time off from work and school.

Absolutely loved this house. It’s exactly as pictured. So relaxing and had everything I needed. The little details were great and you don’t normally get this from other rentals: all the cooking utensils clean and ones needed, laundry, beach chairs, kayaks. The place was pretty baby proof too. Easy check in and out and Gene is available if you need but I didn’t need. The view in the morning with the wind and my coffee was perfect! I hope to come back.

Great house and beautiful beach getaway!

Our family loved our stay at this property. The beach was just steps away and the house is beautiful and spacious. We loved riding our bikes to the nearby Lobster Shack restaurant and clamming nearby. Fun vacation for all. There was an issue with the house's door locking mechanism, so the owner of the house stopped by to replace batteries. The owner also contacted me about the children we were hosting (our kids and their cousins) insinuating that we were hosting a party and that the neighbors were complaining. So that was a bit strange and may indicate some animosity by the neighbors. And then after we were home, I got a text saying that a plastic piece on a lamp was broken and that they wanted us to pay for it. I'm not even sure that we used this particular lamp, so that was a bit off-putting as well. I know that this is a new property listing on VRBO, but I had never been micro-managed by a property owner like this, especially since we took very good care of the property and used it (I felt) very responsibly with our family. Despite all that, I still very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others, as long as you don't invite too many children and upset the neighbors! ;-)

We absolutely loved this place! Very clean! Great location and private neighborhood / beach. The kayaks were a ton of fun. The outdoor shower was an amazing bonus to keep the sand out of the house. The deck overlooking the water is great! There are great views of the water from inside the house too! Only recommendation to others is to bring good water shoes, the beach has lots of sea shells. We loved staying here and recommend it to anyone. Gene was a great host.

We stayed at the property with our toddler. The house is newly renovated, it is very clean and has all you need. We really appreciated the kayaks. We will come back soon!
