Lovely place in fantastic grounds

Millau was a stop on our long drive from the Côte d' Azur for a week of exploring the Dordogne area. Such a warm welcome from host Sebastien who was glad to tell us more about the history of this 19th Century glove factory owner's showcase home. We arrived by car down a city street and street, and the big gates opened into a spacious private park with nature trees and gardens. Our room was on the top floor, up a handsome staircase. (Sebastien kindly hoisted our baggage. )We had a whole family suite of two bedrooms and bathroom, and our windows overlooked the almost Alpine views around Millau. The main room was huge, with a walk-in closet and seating area as well as double bed. Funky, colorful decoration. Bedding was minimal. Might have welcomed another light blanket. We found a more sturdy set of pillows ( no covers) in the closet. Slept very well and had a most generous breakfast with a selection of cheeses, fruits, preserves and breads before setting off on the road again. Enjoyed chatting with our host, who is quite the world traveler, himself.

Comfortable accommodation in a large airy room; owner was present to help with entry to the accommodation & also provided information on places to eat; car parking on-site was great; reasonable breakfast included

Great renovation of old building. Great host. Good breakfast.
Noisy. Lack of coffee/tea in room. Lack of bathroom items such as shower gel and soap.
