We really liked the location of the apartment. It is close to the sea and a supermarket, and the surrounding area is very nice. It is also close to Antisocial Espresso Bar, which has excellent specialty coffee. The pool was lovely and clean, and having parking available was also a big advantage for us. Despite the issues mentioned below, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely love to return to Galé and Albufeira in the future.
There are several things in the apartment that could use some attention or replacement. The pots and pans are in very poor condition – the non-stick coating is heavily scratched and worn off, so we did not want to use them and ended up buying our own frying pan. The plastic part of the vegetable peeler was cracked and it was no longer functional, so we disposed of it. We also had to wash quite a lot of the dishes and cutlery before using them, and the freezer had a strong fish smell.
The shower hose leaks and sprays water near the tap, while the tap at the bathroom sink has very low water flow. We did not use the wardrobes because some of them smelled musty, were quite old and difficult to open, so we did not want to risk damaging them.
When we arrived, the cleaning had unfortunately not been fully completed. However, two ladies came afterwards and cleaned the apartment for us, which we really appreciated.
There was also an unpleasant smell in the bathroom. At first we thought it was coming from the shower drain, but later realised that it was probably coming from the sewer/drain area next to the toilet. We understand that this may not be something that can be easily fixed, but we wanted to mention it.

We could see the see from the very large balcony. The swimming pool was just downstairs as well. The supermarket just 2 min walk. The beautiful peaceful beach just 10 min walk. The apartment is very spacious.
The madress is too hard. Some fittings are a bit run down and could do with fixing, but it seems to be the way of life in Portugal.

Lage war gut. Strand fussläufig erreichbar. Einkaufsmöglichkeit in der Nähe. Sehr gute Ausstattung in der Küche. Wohnung hatte einen grossen Balkon, fast wie eine Terasse. Wohnung beheizbar. Wir hatten es warm.
