Our stay was amazing and the host could not have been more accommodating and nice.
El Lagarillo is a beautiful old traditional Spanish house. The facilities are matching this; some may call them dated but we had no problem. Comfortable bathrooms, great water pressure in the showers, large bedrooms. The decorations inside are charming and interesting, authentic old wine pressing equipment.
The shining star is the pool area with great views over the Andalusian hills and the lake in the distance. You have some morning shade and then the pool is in the sun until sunset. There is a nice outdoor stone barbecue, but the kitchen inside also has everything you need including dishwasher and (big!) fridge and freezer.
The house is not free standing - the building complex has some other vacation homes surrounding El Lagarillo. You still have a lot of privacy but some conversation/music can be heard. On one occasion, our neighbor's noice might have been bothersome but this was immediately taken care of by the host.
The accommodation has a washing machine and clothing iron which we found very useful.
Alcaucín village is the shining example of a picturesque white Andalusian village. It's small and quiet but beautiful, and enough fun restaurants and small mercados to suit any wish to go out or to shop for home cooking.
We also enjoyed a horseback riding trip in the nearby Ranch that is situated in Alcaucín.
Big thanks to the host for a wonderful stay, we hope to return one day.

Hemos pasado unos días estupendos en El Lagarillo. La casa está muy cuidada con todo detalle (menaje, aire acondicionado, ventiladores), muy limpia y con todo lo necesario para disfrutar. El entorno es supertranquilo y silencioso, con un paisaje maravilloso desde la piscina y todo el relax del mundo.
Alfonso nos recibió con mucha amabilidad y estuvo siempre pendiente de que no nos faltara nada, disponible a través del teléfono.
Sin duda, repetiremos si tenemos la ocasión. Es un sitio perfecto para desconectar.

Es una casa muy amplia. Esta decorada de manera peculiar; tiene su encanto.
Desde el jardín hay unas vistas impresionantes, y la puesta del sol fue realmente impresionante.
