Nestled in Cambria, this charming house for $507 per night is a great choice for your next trip. 2 Bedroom 2 Bath. 1 King, 1 Queen bed 1 Murphy bed upstairs. 2 TV's, DVD, wireless internet, electric BBQ on rear deck, gas log fireplace, microwave, dishwasher, Keurig, single garage, hot tub. This two story home is very comfortable and has lots of light. It is right across the street from the ocean and not too far from actual ocean access. Has very nice ocean views. You enter from the downstairs and both bedrooms and bathrooms are on this lower level. The upper level is all one large room, consisting of the kitchen, living room and dining area and the murphy bed. There is a deck off the upper floor and a deck/sitting area off of the master bedroom. This home is dog friendly. The hot tub is on the patio off of the master bedroom downstairs. Had an early family Christmas in Cambria. Brought up a ham and all the fixings. Kitchen was a good size and had what we needed to warm up everything and serve. The proximity to the ocean and the sunsets were a bonus. Would stay here again.

In early to mid Sept., four adults (able to go up the staircase) truly enjoyed this small, clean, comfortable, well kept and well-appointed house in a quiet neighborhood. (This would be cramped for more than four.) The houses just across the street are ocean-side. We had a decent view of the sea and sunset from the upstairs family room. There's a washer/dryer on the main floor, also where the two bedrooms/bathrooms are. The garage is narrow, so passengers exited the mid-size SUV before it was driven in. It's a few easy-to-walk blocks from Fiscallini Ranch Reserve, a wonderful place to walk above the sea. It's easy driving distance to many fine places to hike at or near the ocean as well as to restaurants and shops. Moonstone Beach in Cambria is beautiful and great for beach-combing and tide-pooling. Don't miss the elephant seals in the area and sea otters in Moro Bay.

My husband, our dog, and I had the most wonderful and relaxing 11 days in the Sherwood Home in Cambria. Everything was perfect, the views, the house, the rental agency. We definitely want to return to this house. The neighborhood is quiet, and the access to the ocean and the preserve couldn't be more convenient. We enjoyed watching the birds, the sunsets, and cooking most of our meals there. The house was clean, comfortable, and relaxing. We slept in the master bedroom and the bed was so comfortable and we enjoyed sleeping in late. I would recommend this home to anyone who enjoys having outstanding views and walking to the ocean. Thanks so much to Jone and Heidi for being so accomodating.

Cambria is the best spot for a relaxed and enjoyable stay. The rental Home was comfortable reasonably appointed and in a super location. Quiet next to the beach and some hiking trails. The unit showed various signs of poor maintenance green spa, empty shower dispensers and ill fitting coffee carafe. Still a good stay and the price was right for the location.

The upstairs sliding door had problems opening and closing. The Master bath pocket door had problems opening from inside the bathroom. One of the Blue High Patio Chairs seats was broken with a hanging screw. A ceiling lightbulb above the couch in the living room needs to be replaced. The location of the home is absolutely wonderful.

We always enjoy this home because it is in a very quiet neighborhood. We love the very short walk to lamp post Park and also it is in walking distance to the ranch trail. The beds are cozy, the deck has a nice view and the little gas fireplace is lovely. Most important of all is that it is dog friendly. Cambria vacation rentals always gives us an exceptional experience. They are very efficient and run their business with much integrity. Thank you once again to Heidi and Joan.

My daughter and I spent a thanksgiving here, while the rest of the families visited the other family sides. It was traditional for out family ( when my wife was still living) to spend this time in Cambria, as close to Fiscalini Ranch and the coastline as possible. It brought back those sweet memories. I've rented from Cambria Vacation Rentals many times over the years and each occasion has been a stellar experience. The homes are always clean and as advertised. Heidi and Jone are always very helpful, courteous and professional. 1980 Sherwood is a quaint little home across from the beach in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood with an amazing ocean view. You can walk just a couple blocks west and hike/bike in the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve or just stay put and enjoy the wonderful tranquility that Cambria has to offer. Another wonderful experience in beautiful Cambria.

It was a great location to walk my dog and ride my eBike. I really enjoyed taking my bike from the rental property, through the neighborhood and then the bicycle access road through Fiscalini Ranch Preserve, North to Shamel Park and then Moonstone Beach.
I also enjoyed the view from the upstairs livingroom. And they have a telescope that was fun to view the ocean, sealife and sunsets. I even managed to snap a shot of a sunset with my cell while looking through the telescope.
FYI: The bedrooms are on the first level. While the location was fantastic for me, my husband would not be able to endure the stairs on this particular rental again. They were a bit too tricky for him and his bad back issues. The stairs do not have treads and one should be mindful to not descend in socks or slippery shoes.
Anyway, we had an issue with the coffee maker, but Jone was super sweet to drop off a new one the next day.
All in all, it was wonderful. It's Cambria and that's fabulous.

I rented 3 houses for 4 nights for a group of friends we were at 292 Orlando. Besides the Sherwood house we also had one on Windsor.All were very nice according to the group. I did not see the other two houses.For the Orlando house we noticed a couple of things that could use some help. The downstairs shower was not safe - the tub was slippery and we couldn't find a mat to put in the bottom. This is a safety issue. The upstairs shower was fine. Also, the toilets were awfully low making it difficult to rise.The Orlando house had an empty butane tank for the BBQ. Jone went to a store and brought us briquets but we had borrowed butane from one of the other houses when she brought them.Each house had problems with the TV - Jone was particularly pleasant and helped us out to get them working.Heide was particularly helpful helping me rent the right houses for our group.

The beds seemed newer and were very comfortable. Even tho it's small, it has 2 bathrooms - 1 for each bdrm. What we didn't like: Upstairs is all living room with a tiny kitchen. You can pretty much only have 1 person doing something in the kitchen at a time. If you really wanted to cook, the pans and stuff are very inadequate. The house was OK size in general for 2 people, but 4 people would be really crowding. The slider to the upstairs patio desperately needs repair - like new roller assembly and stuff. It's really hard to push open. And if you are like us and you get cold easily in Cambria, the heater is pretty much useless except to heat the upstairs. Downstairs it's cold and the heater doesn't really do anything down there. The upstairs has a gas fireplace that just operates with a switch, and that's nice to have. Overall our stay was good, but this house needs some fixing up and it's just not one of CVRs better ones.

We fully enjoyed our stay in this sweet house. We enjoyed the nice quiet neighborhood and the little coves and benches near by. The trails were in walking distance or a very short drive. I have already booked 2 more vacations here and will continue to book more. The deck has a nice view and the house had everything we needed. My only suggestion would be that there would be some screens on the sliding doors and windows to allow the lovely ocean breeze to come through without mosquitoes coming in. My wife and I had a great stay. We have only two small things that we would suggest for the property. 1. The sliding door to the outside front deck doesn't lock. 2. It would also be nice of the windows had screens. These are two minor things. Overall we loved the property and would love to stay there again.

Having covers on the recliners are not pretty, as well as the couch needs new springs. The kitchen cupboards needs to be fixed, falling apart. Linens were wonderful, bed was very comfortable! Bathroom sinks stay closed, so they keep standing water, not good! Definitely a tough situation when the bathroom is downstairs and you're in the middle of cooking upstairs.
