This villa is a jewel box, lovingly furnished and decorated with the finest pieces. Warm sandstone, red, and russet tones enhance the rustic feel, yet Cowboy Villa also sports the latest conveniences, from gleaming stainless-steel appliances in the fully appointed kitchen to a jacuzzi tub in the master bath. The house is located within the bishop slouch complex. If you try a trip over to the restaurant don't expect their service to improved. It's still very slow the house is much better than the lodge. Anyways, we love the location and it served as a great base camp to go. Have fun in Santa Fe would recommend it to anyone and stay there and get myself.

We got stranded in a blizzard for our anniversary!We loved the fireplaces and the casa!The only negative some of the French doors would not lock!Not a secure feeling !Need to repair bedroom door locks!

The roof had a serious leak. We brought this to the attention of the property manager and they never responded until we told them again at check out. They were difficult to deal with when we asked for consideration given the leak. Great neighborhood and nice unit but will not work with Kokopelli again.

My family of four was very comfortable at this property. We arrived after dark and it was a bit of a challenge to find our exact villa amongst all the other villas. But once we located it we had an incredible stay. Would stay here again. Close to town and not too far from Ski Santa Fe.

The stay was perfect for our needs. We felt as if we were the only ones in the whole world for just a weekend and that the spectacular view was ours alone! The kitchen as well is spacious and well equipped - it is more than enough for a group of four to enjoy cooking together throughout the stay.

Very comfortable stay, felt like home. Santa Fe is beautiful and we enjoyed sitting on the patio drinking wine and watching the sunsets. Amazing tub allowed for ultimate relaxation! We could have been content to just spend our vacation relaxing at the house. Great space for a romantic getaway or a family trip like ours. We will be back for sure!

Property was okay, managers not so much
We had to rent something on short notice due to a medical issue. When I talked to the initial managers (in Florida), I gave three requirements...no stairs, walk-in shower, internet. It turns out there are ten stairs, a broken internet, and a nice walk-in shower. When I called the local managers to complain I was told, so a few stairs, what's the problem? Thankfully, after a lot of prompting, a young man came and helped with the luggage, which was also promised on our departure but never happened. I called later that night about the stairs being unlit, but no help there. I called about the internet (the equipment needed replacing and according to comcast had needed replacing for months) and was told a cleaning lady would come fix it, which was ridiculous and didn't happen. We were without internet for three days and since I run a business, it was a huge problem. So once again, the home was nice enough (although obviously not prepared for our stay), the property managers not so keen on customer service.

Cowboy Villa is a wonderful Condo that is very well furnished. Great for two couples because both bedrooms have a full private bath. Kitchen is furnished with everything needed to cook your own meals. You will need to drive to everything for groceries, restaurants, shopping, etc. so a car is required. We arrived Thanksgiving day and the property management company was closed Thursday and Friday and the emergency off hours people were not interested in helping solve are small issues. The outdoor grill did not work. I would guess it had not been working before because there were steno(sp?) fuel cans in the grill that had been used before. Also one toilet was running constantly so besides the noise was wasting a lot of water and money. I finally fixed it at least temporarily. I am a builder. We also had some lights burned out and could not find bulbs to replace them. You also are only furnished 1 roll of toilet paper so if you are staying for a while you need to purchase. I was told by the Property Management company they only supply 1 roll per bathroom! We stay in VRBO's 3-4 times a year and this is first time we have run into this. We own a VRBO rental and provide a lot more free extra's. The home is very nice and a great layout. It is well built and has very nice views.

The only problem we had was the thermostat seemed to have a mind of it's own. We eventually just turned it off, but it still cycled on. We contacted the property management company, and they did return our call, but we were never able to connect. From what we could tell the system was a heat pump, so it could have likely been operator error as we are ot accustomed to how they function. Also, and this is really picky, the living room arrangement needed one more chair to make it comfortable for 4 people to have a conversation. We found it a bit clumsy to have 3 people sit on the sofa, and bringing a chair in from the dining area was not a comfortable solution. We ended up bringing in one of the patio chairs. Other than those 2 things, everything else was fine.

The "Cowboy Villa" is fabulous a wonderful location and majestic scenery surround you. The quality of everything from the cookware, towels & linens are the very best. As a former Santa Fean I loved the location, upon booking the trip the hot tub & pool were very important as one of the guest who were on the trip were training for a marathon for Thanksgiving. We had no idea that the hot tub & pool in the casita areas were under construction and the entire lodge will not be complete until Spring 2017. We thought since there was a jacuzzi tub that would be fine but it was out of order as well. The stables are open and a nice horse back trip was great. I am sure that the Jacuzzi will be working soon, so book this oasis of beautiful Santa FE. I know I'll be back again soon. Other than the inconvenience of the hot tub situation
