Situated in New Fairfield, this attractive house for $443 per night is a great option for your next break. Come enjoy this unique Lakeview home! Nestled in a private community with 3 private sand beaches, enjoy the mountain views with five kayaks included. Immaculate and Impeccably designed to the highest standards, central air, private driveway, fully equipped kitchen, 2 full bathrooms and 3 bedrooms it will feel like your own home sweet home! The master suit features sweeping lake views from the comfort of a tempurpedic king bed. Across from the mast suit is the second bedroom with a full and twin bunkbed set. There is also a desk setup as a mini office to work from while looking directly out at the water. On the main level of the home is the 3rd bedroom with a queen bed. There is another office desk set up in the room as well, featuring more lake views while you work. Enjoy the walk out deck that overlooks the lake with a grill and plenty of seating to enjoy the outdoors and soak up the sun at night enjoy an amazing ambiance as the outdoor solar sting lights kick on. Childproof fence at top of decks stairs. There is a large yard with a fire-pit with Adirondack chairs to cozy up to, cook up some s'hmores for dessert after an appetizing dinner. Out back is a second deck to backyard & kayaks. Sit by the water and enjoy peace & serenity. Great location! This property can comfortably accommodate 6 guests. There is also a queen blow up matters in the upstairs second bedroom closet for 2 additional guests. Conveniently located via Route 39 just an hour and twenty minutes from NYC. Driveway can fit multiple vehicle's. Plenty of room if you are towing a boat, Jet-skis, quads, RV's or anything at all. One of the 6 kayaks is a two person great if you have children with you so everyone can enjoy the water. You can also take them 1 mile down the road to Candlewood Lake where there is also a boat launch. Cozy up to the outdoor fire-pit with 4 Adirondack chairs. In the outdoor storage bin there are 2 beach chairs, a golf chipping mat and net targets, as well as water floats and tubes for the lake. There are more regular folding chairs on the deck. Board games are included as well in the cabinet next to the back door cabinet as you walk in the home. The living rooms 65 inch television complete with ALL channels HBO, Showtime, all sports packages and every news outlets you could imagine. The sound bar and subwoofer are great for movie nights. The downstairs office bedroom has a computer monitor included, there is no laptop or desktop included. Alexa included in the main living space. Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher! Wine openers, coffee maker, blender, crockpot, Belgian waffle maker, juicer with ball mason jars, margarita frozen drink machine maker, toaster, spices, pots, pans, wine, champagne glasses and more. The center of town in New Fairfield is just down the road. Stop & Shop grocery store, delis, liquor store, bars and restaurants. This property has a 2nd cottage completely separate from this main house but out back on the same land. Which is also a rental on VRBO, other guests could be seen or pass through to bring the kayaks down to the beach. The other cottage has its own driveway on another road on rt39 so you do not share a driveway or anything at all. The main house also will have 2 owners closets locked and the basement entrance sealed off and could be in use by the owner.

We enjoyed our stay in this pet-friendly accommodation. The views are spectacular, the kitchen is well-equipped, and the bed was huge and comfortable. We appreciate being able to bring our dogs along. I think that staying in the summer would be even better... it was too cold to take advantage of the kayaks and beach passes. We hope to be back!

We were here with my parents who are in their 80’s so the steps were a little tricky but we were aware of this beforehand. Beautiful home, very clean. A couple of small issues other than downstairs bed being sunk in… other than that we very happy with our accommodations. The master was amazing!

We had a great stay. Beware, lots of steps up to property if that’s an issue for guests. Kitchen could use better silverware and some bowls and the dining table is tiny, only seats four. but other than that, everything was fine for a short stay.

Home was very clean & comfortable. Good amount of space for a group or family.
Fall colors were peak the week we were there and the view was amazing! The deck has nice furniture and enjoyed sitting outside everyday. We didn’t use the kayaks but would be fun next time.
Communication was very good with our host. I suggested more flatware & there were a few maintenance issues, like a creaky sticky door but hopefully that will get fixed before the next travelers. There are quite a few stairs to get inside the home but wasn’t an issue for us. Overall enjoyed our time at this comfortable home. Thank you!

Nice home in a good location by the lake. Used kayaks, swam in the lake and enjoyed nice views from the lovely deck. Small lake access point was a little crowded given its smaller size but that is a minor point on an overall nice stay.

I recently stayed for a week and everything was amazing! Perfect location, beautiful views. Kayaking with my teenage girls was so much fun, we also rented a boat for a day from the marina close by and it was a blast. Can't wait to come back next year or maybe in the winter as I'm sure the views will be breathtaking! The owner is very friendly, thoughtful and truly made our stay special. Highly recommend this property!

Most well appointed house I can recall after many rentals through VRBO. They provide everything you might need. Perfect location. Extremely clean and lots of attention to detail in the decor. Beds very comfortable. Highly recommend if you want a place near Squantz Pond (across the street there is access). Any issues we had were very minor in nature. A great place to come to get away for a couple or a family and perfect location from which to explore Candlewood Lake area.

The house was really beautiful and everything we could have wanted and so very clean. My only concern is that the description did not accurately depict that there are 15+ steps to get into the house wether you use the front door or the back making it non handicapped accessible. Having said that, I should have asked about house access when I only saw the one picture. I assumed there would have been a street level entrance on the other side of the house. We ended up only staying one night as getting me into the house took an hour and was exhausting. ☹️
Otherwise the house was everything I wanted.

The property is on a stunning lake, and the view of it from the porch is incredible. The house itself was very comfy and a great hangout spot, but the highlight of this place is easily the beautiful views and opportunity to go kayaking on the lake. Looking forward to coming back again in the future!

First, great responsiveness from the owner - as I hadn’t paid enough attention to the instructions on how to get in, but that was quickly resolved. Second, super clean, very comfortable, warm (I was there for that frigid Christmas), and spacious with great views! Third, easy to find and close to plenty of places to shop and eat, while being private. Really enjoyed the stay!

We stayed here for a few nights and my kids and wife absolutely loved it, very spacious home with all the necessary amenities included. The views are spectacular and the near by hikes absolutely rocked. Eric and his team were very responsive with communication and full-filled all our needs. The house was lovely and had everything we needed to visit local family and gather at the house for meals. The kitchen is well equipped, and met all our needs. Plenty of seating to watch some football and gathering on the deck overlooking the water. The bedrooms were nice with comfortable beds. We really enjoyed our stay! Communication with the host was easy and we were very thankful they allowed us an early checkin after a very long 3 days of driving.

The kitchen was very well equipped. The deck was the perfect place to warm up in the sun. The view of the waterwas really pretty. We made s’mores one night, too. Eric was a great communicator. Eric made the check in process very easy, and everything was as expected. The lake view from the deck connected to the main room is stunning! We went on a nice hike by Squantz pond just 5 minutes away, used the kayaks on the lake, and went to a local brewery Eric recommended that had live music.
A perfect stay, and a great spot for 4 adults for a quick NYC getaway.

Nicely decorated property overlooking the water. Very accommodating host.
The deck overlooking the water is the focal when entertaining, and seating is generous. There are six kayaks and equipment. So nice weather is key to enjoying the rental. Also, having the ability to carry the kayaks down and up a steep hill is vital. Inside is lovely, but tight for a large group. The kitchen area is large and well equipped. Two bedrooms are beautiful and the third functional. There’s no street parking, but you can fit six cars in the driveway. The house has great AC and two nice bathrooms, washer/dryer.

Really enjoyed our time on the property and on/in the lake. The house and property was beautiful, clean, and well stocked. Beds and bedding was very comfortable. Only draw back for our family was there wasn’t a table to sit at for games, puzzles and meals as we stayed in and cooked for our whole visit.

Squantz Pond birthday celebration weekend
This property was a very clean, well-equipped home with a beautiful view of a lake and surrounding hills. The location in western Connecticut is quite beautiful, and close to southeastern NY, where we attended a concert in Pawling, NY. There is a nearby wine trail, and downtown New Fairfield is very charming. There are also many opportunities for outdoor activities, both at the property, with kayaks provided, and nearby state parks. We had a great time!
