A return to this lovely retreat, which I reckon is one of the hidden gem on the island. there were boar paid visits around my little place during night time and I can hear them talk under one storm night - just the experience that I want! Absolutely lovely chocolate snack as a welcome gift and I love how it was so close to the black beach there. Would stay over next time!
The only thing that I notice is that the fridge doesn't really function - it creates minimum coolness so my poke gone bad the next day, making an unpleasant smell that haunted me during the rest of the stay.
Since the heat is such a common factor and the location isn't really super close to any of the food places, it might worth considering updating the fridge facilities to the level that it could actually provide a cold storage function for people otherwise it defeats the purpose of the retreat as guests need to go out out to get food everyday.

The grounds were very well manicured. The inside of the ulu was clean. Thank you for providing water.
At first the geckos in the ulu scared the crap out of me. I wasn't aware I was going to be cohabitating with them, but understand they provide bug control. Wifi was pretty weak so I couldn't call out. I had to go and hover around the visitor center for service.

The location is stunning for wildlife and beauty. We cut our visit short as it is so isolated we could not manage a longer stay there without a car but that is my mistake in booking. The huts are very private and a night there was amazing.
The alternative vibe of the place is not for everyone. Although the huts are private there are not curtains on all windows (including bathroom) and this is a bit weird. Bedding a bit dated. Not a minus point at all but it is VERY isolated.
