Sweet hosts and lovely, romantic setting!
Near train station and neighborhood was quiet at night when we were there. Breakfast was wonderful and they prepped it early so we could catch our train!
Only thing, the entry is a tall, narrow stairwell to the 2rd floor.

Great accommodation but don't park on Via di S. Lucia. When we arrived we noticed that cars on the street had their windows smashed, but we stupidly parked there anyway. Two of our car's windows were smashed overnight and everything that we left in the car was stolen. That street seemed to be the only one where this happened.

Nicholas ( the owner’s son) and his sisters, helped carry our bags up the many stairs to our apartment. Way beyond our expectations. Nicholas spent extra time reviewing the map of a Florence, key areas to visit, plus the best food restaurants in the area. He was so right. Our breakfast in the morning was tasty and delivered on time. The presentation of the food was very attractive. We would definitely stay here longer next time. Very convenient location to restaurants and train station. The ac was a blessing on one of the hottest day in June.

The breakfast was accessed just a few doors down the street. It was up many steep stone stairs (maybe 24?) and might not suit an older person. The hosts were nice, and the coffee was good. Scrambled eggs were made to order and there was a selection of fruit and pastries. The strawberries were the best I had ever tasted. Breakfast was the best bit. There was also a hob in your room, and a few appliances; kettle etc.
The apartment was very old (authentic?). Possibly traditional, but definitely not modernised. It was a bit like an Air B&B. You got a code to access the keys and didn't deal with a real person on check-in. They asked you to send photos of your passports and leave the 'tourist tax' on the table when you left. The TV didn't switch on (remote control possibly needing batteries) and the lighting needed repaired. There was a bit of a smell of drains from the bathroom. It was ok for an odd night, but probably not for the faint-hearted.
