My wife and I were looking for a quiet getaway for our anniversary and this was the perfect trip!! I know during the summer the lake is a huge destination for tourists but during the time we went the lake was quiet and we were able to enjoy the peace and beauty of the area. We will certainly be back again!

The house was cozy but a little dirty. There were some balls of dog fur on the first floor. The yard was unkept with an overgrowth of plants and leaves. The grill had some pieces of it and some other unknown parts lying on the ground around it. There was a partially full lawn waste bag next to the fire put. Parts of the house need updates, repairs, and corrections from some messy DIY work. One of the oars on the dock was broken.

This home was a charming little lake house with a unique vintage feel. It had every amenity that we could ask for and more!! Our family enjoyed the kayaks and swimming around the dock. It was so refreshing after hiking at the State Park nearby. It was also nice that a pet friendly property did not feel worn out by too many animals but very welcoming with room to roam. The host was very responsive and very thoughtful of our needs. We would recommend for a quick getaway or longer if you love to be right on the water.

Everything about the stay was perfect! The cabin was located in a quiet cove and was equipped with so much swimming essentials that it was impossible to spend our time inside. The cabin was even stocked with some of your everyday cooking items for us to use which was incredibly convenient. We also appreciated the communication that the host had with us and how clear check in was. The next time we come back to this area, we will for sure be using this space again! Oh ya, I should probably mention how much fun our dog had as this dog friendly cabin was perfect for her to enjoy some time at the lake with us! 10/10 would recommend!

First the pros: We really appreciated that we were able to find a pet friendly location without much advanced time. There were no restrictions on the number of dogs or the weight, which is becoming increasingly hard to find. The location was pretty good. We quickly realized how much of a problem parking is in the area, and some of the access roads are quite treacherous. We appreciated that we had room for 2 cars, and the in and out of the road was pretty good. The cove was quiet and more secluded which was nice, we went to other areas that had a lot more boat noise. The cons: It was not very clean. The home is obviously older which we don’t mind, but it really needs a refresh. Some examples of general uncleanliness: The shower had hair stuck to the walls, before anyone in my group had even showered. There was a drawer in the bathroom with a bunch of used bars of soap in it, that’s gross. The kitchen felt cruddy, the drawers were hard to open, under the sink was filthy and messy. The home is small, so a clean and fully functioning kitchen would have been nice. We ended up not cooking or using any of the dishes because the kitchen did not seem at all clean. Access is steep, which we expected, but some general maintenance of the stairs leading to the cabin is needed, weeds growing over the steps made an already narrow path even narrower. I could go on but I won’t. For the amount we paid for 3 nights, we expected at the very least a clean home.

We had such a wonderful stay here! I just cannot say enough good about it. The property was right on the water (literally 20 steps to the dock), and came with the use of 3 kayaks, a paddle boat, a trolling boat, huge swim mat, life jackets galore, and floats of all kinds. There was also a fire pit and grill available. A huge balcony with table and chairs for 6 provided a pleasant and breezy location to view the lake and observe the dock. Inside was charming and cozy. The ac was phenomenal and offered a cool retreat from the hot summer heat. The bed in the main bedroom was super comfortable. Several tvs throughout, so family could either watch together or have other options (but gotta admit, there was so much to do, we didn't really watch). The bathroom was stocked with shampoo, conditioner, soap, hair dryer, first aid, etc. The kitchen was a huge surprise! Every condiment you could want, at least 20 different spices, multiple types of teas and coffees, oil, dishes, pots and pans, even the makings for smores were provided! What put this place over the top though, was our host Alexia! She was the sweetest, kindest host we've ever had. When she heard one of my furbabbies hurt his foot, she took time to come check him out and fix him up. She was just wonderful! We will 100¾ staying again and I would recommend this place for pretty much anyone. As she mentioned in her listing, there are stairs going down to the cabin, so elderly might struggle, but we all did fine

Our family of four plus two dogs had a great few days here. While only one of the days was nice enough for being outdoors, the host graciously came over to help us get the small boat going for my husband & son to fish for the afternoon. My daughter and I took kayaks out & enjoyed the time on the water.

We had an enjoyable stay; the house was cozy and comfortable for our family of 3. The mini-splits on each level regulated the temperature effectively. Some of the amenities had seen better days. We had a lot of fun taking out the kayaks and the boat with the trolling motor. Alexia was responsive to communication and even offered to take us for a spin on the pontoon boat.
