2 Bedroom + Loft, Right on Gore Creek, Free Bus Route, *New Listing*
About this house rental
Located in Vail, this charming house for $224 per night is a great choice for your next trip. ** Discounts for weekly or monthly rentals ** **Remodeled bathroom and new carpeting fall of 2022** Interlochen A2 by Mountain Vacation Lodging is a great little townhome in West Vail, just 100 feet from the banks of Gore Creek. It is also located directly on the free bus route for easy access to the slopes and throughout town. The property has attractive outdoor space all around the building, with an open landscaped area out front and Gore Creek out back. The main living area features an open layout, new furniture, hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings with skylights, and a beautifully updated, fully equipped kitchen. The upper level loft is set up as a master suite complete with a private bathroom and TV. The second bedroom can be set up as either 2 Twins or a King, and the 3rd bedroom has both a Twin bed and a Full bed. Whatever your group dynamics, this property has what you need for a wonderful vacation in Vail. Please read on for more details. The Property: You enter the lower level, which is where you'll find bedrooms 2 and 3. Bedroom 2 is the larger of the two. It has 2 Twin beds that can be converted into a King prior to your arrival, with advance request. Bedroom 3 has a Twin over Full bunk bed, so it can work for a couple, 2 or 3 kids, singles, whatever you need. This room also has a TV that you can enjoy from bed. Both of these ground floor bedrooms have tongue and groove wood ceilings and exposed beams which create an authentic mountain west style. The bathroom off the hall is a good size, with a large vanity that makes sharing easy. Also on this lower level is the washer and dryer, plus some storage for shoes and boots, jackets and hats. The middle level of the home is one large open room. The vaulted ceilings, skylights, and two story windows give it a very spacious feel. The wood burning fireplace and the tasteful leather furniture, brand new in May 2021, make this a warm and comfortable place to relax. The large HDTV can be viewed from anywhere in the room, including the kitchen and bar. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need and more. You'll find an assortment of spices, oils, condiments and coffee supplies. Also, don't be surprised if you find a little welcome basket when you arrive! The kitchen features solid slab granite counters, beautiful cabinetry, tile backsplash and stainless steel range. The kitchen flows through to the dining area, which seats 6. Off the living and dining area is the deck. On one side you have a table and chairs. To the other, a gas grill with accompanying utensils. The open space below and around this side of the building is a pleasant backdrop, making this a nice place to enjoy a cup of coffee or lunch. In this home, there are lots of little things that tie the design and decor together. Iron railings bordering the stairs one side of the living room matches the iron of the spiral staircase which leads to the master suite. This bedroom is technically a loft, since there is not a door, but a set of thick curtains to make this space private from the living room below. This master suite has a Queen bed, a TV, and vaulted ceilings. There are skylights in both the bedroom area and the private bathroom, where you can take a shower bathed in natural light. Location: The Interlochen Condominiums are condominiums and townhomes in West Vail South. The condominiums are along I-70 and S Frontage Road West, but this townhome is behind the condos, over by Gore Creek, which gives it a quieter and more peaceful setting. The location is also very convenient. Vail's free bus system picks up and drops off right next to the development, less than 100 yards from your door. The location is serviced by the Red and Green lines, which provide service to Cascade chairlift, Lionshead, Vail Village, as well as the grocery stores found in West Vail North. They go opposite directions, so wherever you're headed, you have a short, direct route. Green goes straight to the grocery stores and is more direct coming home from the slopes. Red is more direct going to the slopes or home from the grocery stores. Check the Town of Vail website for up to date schedules, and smartphone apps for real time bus locations. Do you have kids? Stephens Park is only 1/3 of a mile away and includes a playground. You can also hop on the either bus line to check out Donovan Park or Red Sandstone Park. Arrival, Access, and Parking: Once you book, we're here to support you. We offer professional concierge services, provide you with arrival instructions, and answers to any specific questions you might have. Accessing this property does require stairs. You go down a short flight of stairs from the parking area, follow a walkway, and then down a few more stairs right by the property itself. The property comes with two reserved parking spaces. It's one car width wide but two cars in length. So you double park "bumper to bumper" If you will have a 3rd vehicle, there is a limited amount of additional, unassigned parking available on a first come first serve basis. Sorry, trailers are not allowed, unless you have just one vehicle and a short trailer that will fit into the reserved spaces. Private Amenities - among other things, this townhome features: -- Wood Burning Fireplace -- Free WiFi -- 3 HDTVs with HDMI inputs for streaming -- Private Washer & Dryer Shared Amenities - this development has: -- Benches by Gore Creek -- Landscaped open space & lawn area, ideal for building snowmen or snow angels -- Reserved and Non-reserved parking -- Covered Bus Stop (called the "Intermountain" stop) Summary: Interlochen A2 is an affordable townhome with a convenient location, good quality finishes, furnishings, and linens. It has tasteful decor that accentuates the architectural features. This is a great home base for your Vail vacation! For normal, respectful groups, we are sorry that these statements and measures are necessary. Security cameras and noise monitoring devices are an example and demonstration that the property's owners are taking steps to ensure the home remains available for rental, and in good condition, for your benefit. Please let us know if you have any concerns. ** Cleaning Fees & Lengthy Rental Periods - The standard cleaning fee quoted as part of any booking is for the final cleaning, which is to be performed after the rental period has ended. For guests who are booking a lengthy stay of more than one week, a mid stay-cleaning fee equal to the final cleaning fee may apply for the second week, third week, and so on. If you are booking for a lengthy stay, please contact us before booking online to discuss your group, your dates, the rates, the cleaning schedule, etc.

Neighborhood was convenient to Mtn, grocery store. Cute mountain neighborhood with creek . Unit was clean, kitchen had everything we needed. Lit a fire 2 nights. Beds were comfortable and showers were great. We drove to park before skiing but our parking spot was next to the bus stop.

It is obvious the place is set up for the main ski season but it was certainly a peaceful place to relax after a long day of hiking. The kitchen was stocked with many common cooking utensils as well as common spices to allow us to have nice meals instead of eating out every meal.
The property is on the river but it is a short walk from most condo. Still nice to drink our morning coffee by the flowing water.
It fit a family of 4 adults very well. Would definitely stay again

My husband and I and our 2 twenty-something young men stayed here for several days. We enjoyed the cabin feel with all the modern amenities. The condo/cabin is well laid out with two bedrooms on the first floor and a nice large bathroom. The upstairs bedroom loft also has a full bathroom. This gave us plenty of room for privacy. The main living space was both cozy and expansive enough for us to cook, play board games, and watch TV/football. Gore creek is out back and we enjoyed the sound when coming and going from our unit. Overall, this was a great stay while we explored the summer activities in Vail. The hike to Booth Falls & Lake was amazing. Ziplining in the canyon about 30 minutes from Vail was awesome and Vail Stables horseback riding did not disappoint. We may return next summer!

The condo was exactly as described, and the kitchen was very well stocked. The complex was very quiet, and our boys caught fish steps outside the door in Gore Creek. Great location!

The condo was perfect for my husband and I, our 2 yr old, and a friend. The creek is beautiful and there is a nice park in walking distance. Great location to access trails and friends we visited in Vail, Avon, and Edwards. Nice community, nice place.

The property had a great location just outside of Vail village. It was quiet and the property provided all household essentials for a comfortable stay. There is a free bus service that takes you into the village. My only complaint is the cleanliness of this property. Most dishes we pulled out to use were unclean. My sister’s knee went between the two couch cushions and came out with tons of crumbs and cereal pieces. Most disgusting was that I had to clean out the downstairs shower drain trap on our first night due to an inch of standing water while showering. There was information about how to do this in the info packet. If this is a known issue it should be taken care of by housekeeping prior to my arrival. If I clog it during my stay, sure I will clean it out without complaint, but that was certainly not the case. I would stay here again, but I sure hope housekeeping does a more thorough job.

Great property. It’s a beautiful, very well maintained complex - probably built in the 80s…it’s not a posh resort, but it had everything we were looking for…well-stocked kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, nice living room area, washer/dryer. Very clean. Completed remodeled bathrooms. It’s smaller than the photos look, but our family of 4 was comfortable. One of the bedrooms is in a loft with a spiral staircase which was fine for my 17-yo son, but might be an issue for some.
Bed linens were awesome, carpets cozy and well kept, beds comfy.
Would stay again.

Clean, comfortable, had all the amenities we needed. Easy to get to the lifts with a free shuttle.

Overall, the place was wonderful. Clean, convenient location, easy to access and well stocked. The only reason I took one stair away on "accuracy of listing" was because the photographer did a phenomenal job making the place seem a little bigger than what it was. That being said, it was a comfortable stay for four guys on a snowmobile trip.
The ONLY complaint we had was that twice it was communicated that we wanted the king bed split for two people, but when we got there later in the evening we had to do it ourselves..First world problems...
All in all, we would absolutely stay here again!

Great place, easy communication with the management and owners. Would visit again.

Condo is really good, we would come back…however understand that the loft is somewhat difficult to access from the narrow spiral staircase
Some of the rules are intrusive to vacationers, lastly wish the pathways leading to condo had lighting to make it easier & safer to walk at night

Fact- there is a major mice problem. See past reviews as well.
Fact- Property is dirty and smells bad, Towles were old and bleached.
Fact- the apartment is not facing creek. It’s the back unit, balcony is in back.
Fact- anybody of older age or children cannot access the loft bedroom and bathroom. Nor can you bring suitcases up as there is a tiny spiral staircase.
When I noticed the review prior to arrival about mice in the apartment. The manager assured me that it was a one time issue and it has been resolved.
I booked the apartment for 10 days. Upon arrival all of the above was noticed, and I emailed the property manager that I will only be staying for another night or two till another booking I quickly found to become available because of the mice droppings. I also sent her photos.
After two days she sent housekeeping and said there was nothing there which was a straight out lie.
I did not stay for most of the trip and all I requested was a 50% refund and they refused to provide anything.
Use can see the rudeness of the host based on their responses to other reviews.
Don’t stay here

We met friends in Vail and had a great 3 days. The Condo was just as advertised. It was easy to get downtown, the gold course. it was too bad we didn't know that the electric bikes were right around the corner. Next time!

very convenient for all the fishing we did being right by the interstate, but far enough away we never heard road noise

This is a little gem in West Vail. Tucked in the back of a group of condos, this is in a building of 4 3 story condos by the creek. This unit does not face the creek, but it’s right out the front door to go enjoy in the common yard. The kitchen was very well stocked. Recent additions to dishes and utensils must have taken care of the previous complaints. There are 2 bedrooms downstairs with a full/twin bunk in one room and king size or 2 twins in the second. The 3rd bedroom with a queen and bathroom is in the loft accessed by a tight spiral staircase. All of the furniture and bedding were more than adequately comfortable. While the home is dated in some ways we don’t have a single complaint given the price.

Don’t do it
Every dish we pulled from the kitchen was dirty, dirty underwear was left in the washing machine, upstairs shower did not drain for days so that could not be used, tack strip exposed going into the master bedroom found that out the hard way, worst part is management company did not care at all. I have photos and text/emails that I can add, I could write a book on this just don’t do it

Beautiful setting
Great location! Space was a bit smaller than we would have preferred for a family of 5 but fortunately we were outdoors most of the trip. Small kitchen which could have had more pots/pans/glasses/silverware etc!!!
Personally I was not a fan of the spiral staircase to get to the loft area where the master was-all in all a fair property in a beautiful setting with the creek outside your door.

Great place to stay for a weekend!
This was a great place to stay for an extended weekend to explore the Vail area. Bonus that it was on the Gore Creek. We loved using the city bus route to get around.

We enjoyed our stay at the West Vail property. It easily accommodated three adults, each with their own space. We liked that we were outside of the Vail resort area, but had easy access via bus. The creek just outside was beautiful.

Excellent Accommodations
The property was as advertised and in the perfect location for our ski trip to Vail and Beaver Creek. It comfortably fit 6 men and had room to relax after a long day of skiing. Checking in and out was simple and there is a shuttle right next to the parking area. Property was clean and well maintained. I would definitely stay here again.
