We had a downstairs room with direct access to the garden and drive. Easy to get things in and out of the car. Safe off road parking behind closed electric gates. Hosts very welcoming and helpful. Centrally located - easy walk down to river and town centre.

Lovely property and comfortable bed bonus having the outdoor pool after a long drive
No restaurant on property and quite a walk into a very scruffy town we were very nervous walking around there difficult finding restaurant open. No toilet door in en-suite just a curtain sorry didn’t like that

A very quiet location just outside town with easy and secure parking behind closed gates. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The swimming pool would have been fabulous in the hot weather which we did not experience, and adjoining terrace next to communal kitchen would have been useful then. It would be good for summer family visitors but out of season the town has little to offer the tourist, instead being rightly popular seemingly with the many business people presumably visiting the nearby large industrial estates.
The tea and coffee available at all times, plus fridge, microwave etc, were in communal kitchen, not in room as expected from description. Whilst the room was big, clean and comfortable, it felt lacking in the luxury element expected of the chateau description, and experienced previously in our journey at chateau hotels with similar ratings. The breakfast was OK but lacking in quality of products. It was eaten around communal table in communal kitchen, coffee being made and served by pleasant girl who replenished food as needed. Varieties of tea and coffee available was good.
