First of all, the WiFi was immaculate. The staff couldn’t speak English but was super friendly and we understood enough to know what the staff told us. The nice lady even carried our suitcases for us! The room (a room with a bunk bed and our own little bathroom) was nothing special but it had everything we needed and looked exactly like it did in the pictures on Booking. There were enough power outlets for us and a working AC (which was very important agains the Korean summer heat!).
We got towels (which is great), but we only got two small towels each, one large towel would have been nice. The bathroom was pretty clean but there was a pipe slowly leaking water onto the bathroom floor (we still don’t know where that pipe came from or why it hat water slowly coming out of it…). It was also a little tricky to air out the room. For the top bunk, a little bedside table (or something similar) would have also been nice.

Perfect place to start exploring Gunsan!
I only stayed one night, but it’s so good I‘ll booked another night. It‘s so cozy and lovely designed. I slept in a typical korean futon bed, cause I really like it, but if it’s not yours, they also provide western style beds. Everything is neat and clean.
I liked the small details, nice scented towels and bed linnen and shower soap. There is a common area and kitchen, where you can cook, chill and chat with other guests.
But not just the cherry on top are the people there. So nice and helpful and fun to talk to. He gave me advice for local specialties and I even could store my luggage after check out.
It’s located in a nice area with lots of awesome restaurants, shops and of course CU/GS25.
From Gunsan Train Station take bus Nr 11 or 12 or Taxi :-) But they also have car parking options, if you come by car.
I highly recommend this place, if you like something unique, with a personal touch and heart!

Nice location with very good common areas - the eating and play area is superb, the kitchen area clean and very functional. Good little free breakfast (Ramen, Instant-Coffee). Very helpful staff. Btw good restaurant in the basement.
