Holiday Inn Express Airport Zone worked very well for our late-night arrival. The airport shuttle was much appreciated, and communicating with the shuttle driver via WeChat made it easy for him to locate us. Check-in was also quick and easy. Our room was spacious, almost brand new and spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable, and both the water pressure and air conditioning were good. All I really wanted when I arrived in Chongqing in the wee hours of the morning was a quick shower and to get straight into bed, and this hotel served that purpose perfectly. The coffee machine at breakfast produced a surprisingly robust cup of coffee, which I enjoyed. After breakfast, we had no problems getting a DiDi into the city. In the lobby, they have a weighing scale for your luggage, a practical and thoughtful touch.
The breakfast buffet had a reasonable variety, but it consisted mainly of high-carb dishes and was lacking in protein. Also, note that there are local hotels in the vicinity which also offer shuttle service, and are highly rated, but cost far less. But we are very happy with our choice.

Great choice for a long overlay between flights. The staff were very helpful. Shuttle service from and to the airport worked well, as long as you have WeChat.
There is not much to do in the area.

Very close to the airport and free shuttle service to the airport . There is a small grocery shop next to the hotel.
Some staff don’t speak English but they are helpful
