Awful experience with property owner/manager
Property is new and nearby attractions.
Horrible experience with check in and check out. Wow where should I begin, it was not good. You can communicate only via booking.com messaging platform. Few weeks before the start of the vacation, we learnt that we have to send $1000 as security deposit via PayPal to owner/manager (Golden Sun Property management Inc.). Owner/Property manager has this listed in “policies” section and it is not easily visible at the time of the booking. This transaction was outside of Booking.com and I had to pay the deposit to get the access to the vacation home though we had fully paid for the vacation home via booking.com. This included $480 cleaning fee that was paid via booking.com. We had to wash smelly dirty towels and some linens on the day we arrived. We had to wash for hours. Owner did not provide washing detergent, soap, hand soap, dishwashing liquid, trash bags etc. We had to pay extra for pool heating ahead of time via PayPal and the pool was dirty when we arrived. Worst is after the check out, owner reported that we cracked the bed frame(s) and decided to deduct $300 from our security deposit. There was no one to help check-in/walk through and there was no checklist what to check for what is damaged before check-in. Based on our experience, owner can randomly take your deposit showing some random pictures. It took almost 3 weeks after the checkout with numerous follow-ups to get the refund (after deducting $300 for no reason) from the owner. I will never rent this property again or any property managed by this owner .
