Tradition Colca is in a beautiful, quiet location outside Chivay, close to Yanque. The rooms were comfortable and warm, the continental breakfast was good, and the staff were very friendly—especially Eric and the Brazilian team, who were exceptional.
Our interactions with the owner-manager were not very welcoming, and many of the advertised amenities required reservations, limited time slots, or additional fees. Our group could not use the observatory, pool, or sauna because of scheduling restrictions, the free bicycles were limited to 30 minutes, and the horseback riding was expensive and initially not well prepared for the children.

"The staff was very helpful, and breakfast was very satisfying. We also enjoyed the restaurant on site. The observatory was a great plus. We could easily walk to the town of Yanque."
