Located in Sunset Beach, this charming house for $233 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. A Kaimaina home that is nestled on a quiet dead end street in the coveted neighborhood of Sunset Point. This one of a kind home has been in our family for over 70 years. Remodeled and completely refurbished, this is “country living” at its best. This two bedroom one bath home is air conditioned. A few steps out the door and you will be at one of the most famous surfing beaches in the world, Sunset Beach. Mothers Beach as it is known to the locals, is where local parents bring their Keiki (children) to frolic in the surf. We are just a few minutes drive to Chuns Reef, Pipeline (where surfers barrel thru the curling waves) Ehukai (Turtle Beach) Sharks Cove and Waimea Bay. We offer a large backyard that is tropical and restful should you decide to “just be”. There is an outdoor shower to wash away the sand and to refresh yourself. All of this will take you back to years gone by and the beauty of Hawaii. This home was acquired by my wife and I upon the passing of my mom. We loved the many cherished memories that we had as children living on the North Shore. As children we roamed the empty lots and neighborhood while spending countless hours in the pristine water that was just steps away. Although Sunset Beach has grown in size and population, the precious ALOHA SPIRIT remains intact. Spending days at this wonderful home allows us to reconnect with our past, to enjoy the present, and to dream of the many tomorrows that we as well as the future generations hope to have. This is what we offer to you. A place to relax and to make wonderful memories. As children there was no need for toys as the beauty of the universe lay at our doorstep. This was our magnificent playground! It can be yours too! While simple in style, the home has been completely redone and is a tribute to the life that we once shared. While we are not the largest house on the block we are simply the loveliest! We fall asleep with the soft sound of the surf. Upon waking and making our coffee, we sit on the front porch where we hear the soft music of the birds blending with the sound of the surf rolling into the shore. Life becomes a moment of thoughtful steps. The smell of the salt air and the whisper of trade winds brings all of our senses to its maximum potential. Peace fills the many chambers of our thoughts, as we take in each moment with awe and the beauty of this special place. A stroll on the sand often leads to the discovery of beautiful shells that have washed ashore. Collecting them for a jar of treasures or to make beautiful shell jewelry is limited only by your imagination. Across the street on the mountain side is Ted’s Bakery, Home of the famous Chocolate Haupia Pie. Ted’s also has an extensive plate lunch menu for the days that you would prefer not to cook! We pride ourselves in the cleanliness of our home. You can be assured that every detail has been addressed and that all bedding has been freshly washed. We have been a part of VRBO since 2011. In that time we have had over 80 Reviews all of which were given 5 Stars. Unfortunately because of a two day lapse in membership we have been issued a new number and all of the information was not applied to this new membership. Many of our guests return year after year and start their rebooking as soon as they receive their vacation schedules. They love our home almost as much as we do! Come see for yourself! We’ve been to the North Shore several times over the past ten years (Sunset Beach area), but this house tops it all off. It was exactly as described. One review got it wrong, however:
The house is not minutes away from the beach, it’s only seconds away!
We stayed one month to watch – among other things – the 2 WSL CT events at Pipeline and Sunset. To Ehukai Beach Park it’s a 30-minute walk, so you don’t have to use the car. And you can watch the event at Sunset practically from your “home beach” (Mothers Beach) or walk 5 minutes if you want to listen to Rocky Canons beach commentary.
There is one more thing I would like to point out: we were a party of 4 adults and my sister-in-law is a professional cook, who cooked for us every day. She was really amazed how well equipped the kitchen was. There was absolutely nothing that was missing!
One last thing that we really enjoyed were the two huge lanais that gave perfect shelter from the rain which you have to expect in January & February. And I must not forget the perfect communication with Pat. Thanks again, Pat, for letting us share the real Aloha spirit.

Pat and Stephen’s bungalow is such a delightful, kind space in a most wonderful location. Great House Great People
We stayed the month of March 2020 It started with covid -19 just starting to be talked about and everything open. By the end of our stay everything was closed and everyone told to stay home to stop the spread of the virus. This house was our rock during this time and we were thankful this was where we stayed. The house is everything the people have written in prior reviews. The Owners make you feel like family, checking to make sure we were ok in their time of need. Stay safe Hawaii and to the Owners and their family our thoughts are with you.

Magical place
Perfect location, friendly neighbourhood and right across from beach access. This was a perfect home for our holiday. The house itself had everything we needed, was spotlessly clean and very private. We would love to stay again. The beach was amazing and the surf great!

From the moment we walked through the front door, the house felt so extremely comfortable & inviting. Like a home away from home. Checking in was so easy, the house was absolutely spotless, the yard is beautiful.. hands down, the best rental we have ever stayed in. Being able to leave our shoes on the lanai & walk across the street to the beach (or better yet.. down the street to Ted’s Bakery!) was my favorite part. My 6 year old loved finding geckos in the yard hehehe!

Perfect location, very clean and comfortable
We absolutely loved staying here on our vacation with our family. The house was exactly as described and was very clean and tidy when we arrived. Even beach towels were provided. We loved having a washer and dryer, everything needed in the kitchen, a shower in the backyard and a nice porch in the front and one in the back to kick back and relax. It is only a short walk to Ted's bakery and the grocery store is a few minutes drive away. We loved this place and will definitely stay here again if we have the opportunity.

Our family loved our stay here. The beach is a very short walk across the street. While there we had a few sea turtles and a seal. The beds were super comfy and we had all the supplies we needed.

Absolutely wonderful
We love this North Shore rental and have stayed here a couple of times. The house is well equipped with all that you need, in addition to A/C now. I love the outdoor shower and being steps from the beach and the bike path to run.

Wonderful beach cottage
This house was perfect for our family vacation. It was the perfect size and so very charming inside and out. We ate many meals on the back lanai and listened to the ocean on the front. The house is truly only a few steps to the beach. It is like having your own personal pathway. The beaches were never crowded (June) and the atmosphere was so calm and relaxing. We will definitely book this house again for any future stays. Coult not get any better!

Perfect family getaway
Stephen’s home was the perfect way to start our trip in Hawaii. It is brilliantly located just steps from sunset beach! The house itself is clean, very well stocked and was ideal for me, my husband and our toddler. Thank you to our kind hosts for the lovely welcome basket and their prompt responses to all communication. I can’t recommend this listing more highly!

We loved our stay here! We felt like locals enjoying the north shore lifestyle. The beach is beautiful and the sunsets are gorgeous! The home was clean and comfortable and the neighbors are friendly. It was nice to be able to visit all the touristy places then get away from the crowds to our own private beach house. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Amazing place
A great house and location for our family close to the beach. The owner Stephen was very responsive and drove over at a moments notice when there was a tiny problem with a smoke alarm. Overall a great stay.

Perfect Family Beach House
Our family of four stayed in this beautiful home during Spring break. We have two children, ages 14 and 16, and the space fit our bill to a T. One child slept in the second bedroom and the other child chose the pull-out sofa bed. It worked well. The owners were very kind and there was a big welcome basket filled with local goodies waiting for us upon arrival. I really appreciated that warm touch.
The house is spotlessly clean and tidy. It has everything you need including a full kitchen, TV/cable/internet, Weber BBQ, clean sheets, towels, hairdryer, washer/dryer, coffee machine, and off-street parking. My favorite part of their home was the gorgeous covered front porch. There is just enough foliage in the front yard for privacy.
This home is probably less than one minute walking to get to a world-class beach. The beach is quiet and there aren't many people on it. We saw surfers heading out every day. The kids played outside all day and it was easy for them to run back to the house for breaks or quick snacks. The location is ideal and really cannot be beat.
I would highly recommend this home if you are looking for a clean, nicely-appointed home that is steps away from one of the most beautiful beaches.

A real gem on Sunset Beach!
This home was the perfect location for our spring break get a way! Our boys, 12 and 14 couldn’t get enough of boogie boarding, surfing near Haleiwa, and jumping in the waves! Our youngest even was lucky enough to celebrate his 12th birthday here in paradise! The home is clean, well stocked, and SO close to the beautiful beach! We are every meal on the sand! It’s embarrassing that we didn’t relax more on the beautiful lanai at the home, but the beach was so inviting! Locals were kind and friendly. Ted’s bakery was a morning stop and Haleiwa is a great town to shop and eat! We will definitely be back to this perfect home!!!
